carmines pizza

7/10 on sunday we had pizza at carmine's (formerly earthquake pizza). they have a $5 two slice plus drink deal. although the toppings were good, the pizza was a little under cooked which made it seem doughy (7/10). ambiance is a 7/10.

pizza is hot- creative atmosphere - 4x here and there's always something new and interesting.

where do i begin with how bad this place was? we ordered the food and sat down. 20 minutes later, they came out to say they burned our pizza and had to start again. when it arrived, it looked good. it was half cheese pizza and half chicken pesto. i took one bite of the pesto side and it was one of the worst things i've ever tasted. i took a second bite because i figured no way it tasted that bad. it did. the best thing about this place was the free refills on soda.

the white pizza with mushrooms is awesome! get the garlic knots with their house salad too. we loved it and the owner was so friendly.

if you have never had real "new york" pizza then you won't be disappointed with this place.

this place would go belly up in a day in any of the 5 boroughs....

chef boyardee makes a better pizza kit than this place puts out.

i bet the mexican taco joint across the street makes a better "new york" style pizza than this place!!!

carmine's is not only the best pizza i've ever had, but carmine is a fantastic host. he and his sister over at rosina's both make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through their doors. thank you carmine. we'll be back on our next vacation!

we are visiting california from las vegas, and we were looking for a good pizza in oceanside. carmine's really blew us away. we got a caesar and antipasto salad. i can't figure out which was more tasty. they were both great! dressings were unique and packed with great flavors.

as we waited for the pizza, i looked around and realized how charming the restaurant was. lots i exposed brick and the dining area was quaint. the staff was friendly. it seems like a place locals love to frequent, but we felt very welcome.

the pizza came up, and i realized how awesome the place really was. piping hot. we got the pie, and then a pepperoni and a cheese for our kids. the pie (the pizza is actually named after the greek letter, but i don't have it on my phone) was super good. it has some ingredients that made me wonder (dried cherries) but when it all came together, it was delish. crispy thin crust was spot on. the whole family loved it. if you are local, you already know how good it is. if you are visiting for a day or more, your trip won't be complete without a trip to carmine's!

fresh, flavorful, creative!. easily the best ny style pizza in town. you can get a pie done so many different ways here, you never get bored. and their hot wings are excellent too.
ambiance is a bit cave-like, lacking windows in the dining area, but not bad. decor has a nice urban retro feel to it, manly, with lots of wood and exposed brick.
service is usually friendly if not always fast.
their 'π' pizza with the gorgonzola cheese on it is pizza perfection! plus they'll do half and half so you can try more flavors.

fantastic!. i love going to carmine's! they always have amazing pizza at great prices. tony (the owner) is very creative and i've yet to have one of his slices i didn't like. great little family run business. highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good pizza!

food was high quality and very good. garlic knots were some of the best we've ever had. pizza was delicious.

went to carmines last night for the first time. great pizza and great vibe. laid back friendly atmosphere. pizza is amazing but you have to try the salad, wings, and pasta specials as well. finally oceanside stepping up.

best pizza and wings in san diego hands down. also homemade pastas that are amazing. long time coming for north county.

great place. we go here sometimes and love it. it is thin, not too much sauce, lots of toppings. they have good beer and a really yummy desert pizza. the owner is a really nice guy as well. if you like ny style you will like carmines. =)
