amazing drinks on the water!!. thisplacehas great drinks and great live bands on the water. i had a great time and would definitely come back.

clonk chowder (1/2 new england 1/2 conk chowder ) - worth a try and good
some of the local florida micro brews suck (avoid a blonde ale - hello coconut ... wow !)
reasonable service for a heavy touristplace- don't expect to much eye contact.

bestplacewe ate in daytona. seating on the deck is great! loved the live music. we ate here at 3pm on a sunday and there was no wait and service was good.

continues to impress. been here 3 times and am satisfied every time. the low country boil is delicious and filling. the crab dip is an excellent appetizer. atmosphere is great as well. i would recommend thisplaceto anyone visiting daytona.

carribean jacks. great location - can be tricky to get to - greatplaceto sit and relax and enjoy. waterside bar - restaurant. food is good - we have been here for lunch and dinner and thisplaceis perfect for beer and a sandwich or a dinner with friends. a few things stand out here that you should know about.
1,) sunday morning bloody marys are about the best you will find in daytona
2.) the bananas foster is to die for....

if you come here and do not start with desert you are missing the best desert in daytona beach...
take the dinner home - it will be a great snack tomorrow have the bananas foster tonight - pinkie swear - its that flippin good...

dinner date. took my fiancee here one night as a random date night and she fell in love. jessica our waiter was amazing. we had a friend come stay with us for a few weeks and we wanted to treat her to dinner before she left town and she was amazed by the food and service as well. it is a greatplaceto go around sunset and sit out on the deck the view is beautiful!!

unmatched outside atmosphere. i usually just go here for drinks but when i've eaten here it is very good. what is unmatched is the location and atmosphere. the inside is nice enough but i've never taken advantage of that, the allure of theplaceis the enormous outside deck right on the halifax river. the deck is on the complete east side of the building and on most of the south side as well, wrapping around the building and overlooking the river. there is a full service good sized bar outside.. full picnic size tables, covered and swinging! along side regular tables and hi top tables near the bar. there is a large pavillionish area on the se corner where bands play. one reason i love daytona beach is the weather and the water and this is one of the few places, and the nicest in my opinion, that allows you to enjoy that while having a drink or some food. i've mainly had the french dip and chicken wings, both of which are excellent. my friends and girlfriends have tried many more menu items and they've always been happy but i can't speak personally for much of the menu. the service is usually real good. this is my absolute favorite outsideplace(they do have a large indoor restaraunt which is nice as well).

decent. i like thisplacefor a late afternoon casual meal and some fresh air and a nice view. it's not great, but it's decent. the burger is ok, the fish and shrimp ok, the
service is s-l-o-w but friendly enough. they have live music on the deck, or you can sit inside. people come by boat or land, there's a pool too.

excellent food and watefront dinning. june 22 had an early dinner at thisplaceon a sweltering day in daytona and it was great! sitting outside in the gliders was fun and the food was very good. i had the crab cakes it was fresh and tasty

just because you're by the water. just because you're located by the water doesn't give cj's the right to serve such horrible food. thisplaceis busy and the only thing i can think of is because it's located by the river. we had a shrimp basket that was something you buy at a grocery store, and a french dip which was dry as a bone. no care went into the food. this is definitely a drinkingplacenot an eating place.

love the outside dining and the food is good too. being from mi it's just nice to be in florida in feb but thisplaceis a favorite for the atmosphere and the chicken salad is a favorite of mine can't wait. to return.

fun!. went to thisplacefor lunch. they have a medium sized menu with primarily seafood. i am not a seafood eater ordered myself a chicken sandwich and a side of onion rings; my companion ordered shrimp.

both of us were very happy with what we ordered. the waiting staff was very friendly and food was tasty. the drinks were also very delicious.
