unmatched outside atmosphere. i usually just go here for drinks but when i've eaten here it is very good. what is unmatched is the location and atmosphere. the inside is nice enough but i've never taken advantage of that, the allure of the place is the enormous outside deck right on the halifax river. the deck is on the complete east side of the building and on most of the south side as well, wrapping around the building and overlooking the river. there is a full service good sized bar outside.. full picnic size tables, covered and swinging! along side regular tables and hi top tables near the bar. there is a large pavillionish area on the se corner where bands play. one reason i love daytona beach is the weather and the water and this is one of the few places, and the nicest in my opinion, that allows you to enjoy that while having a drink or some food. i've mainly had the french dip and chicken wings, both of which are excellent. my friends and girlfriends have tried many more menu items and they've always been happy but i can't speak personally for much of the menu. the service is usually real good. this is my absolute favorite outside place (they do have a large indoor restaraunt which is nice as well).
