this place is truly a beautiful little italian restaurant. they have a wonderful selection of wines and the olive oil they use is to die for. i love the decor and the servers are always very friendly. i have dined here a few times and have never been disappointed. they are constantly adding new features and improving their menu.

came here for lunch on a wednesday afternoon. loved the decor and the atmosphere in the restaurant. our servers were very pleasant as well. the food, however, was very disappointing. i ordered the caprese salad even though it was beyond over priced at almost $20 after tax. instead of serving it in the traditional manner, what i got was 3 separate ramekins of cheese, bread and tomato. the portions were also minuscule. definitely a strange and disappointing meal.

left hungry.. went here for lunch on a tuesday. ordered the veal sandwich and was very very disappointed. first of all, it was expensive for what it is. $12 for one of the smallest sandwiches i've ever eaten. the meat was bland, and the dish was bare bones. it's served with literally nothing. no salad, no fries, not even sauce on the sandwich, nothing. it's literally just a thin slice of veal on bread.

the veal was underseasoned and looked grey and unappetizing. it was not breaded like how you would expect an italian veal sandwich to be. it's just lightly grilled with no other toppings or condiments, not even marinara sauce.

i was expecting something more similar to the veal sandwiches at california sandwiches for $12. i left hungry, and i'm by no means a big eater, i actually have to split the veal sandwich from california sandwiches with someone else.

in fairness, a co-worker ordered the pizza and it looked and smelled pretty good. i can't comment on the other dishes but stay away from the sandwiches. they're an abomination. if chains like subway and mr. sub are putting out better sandwiches than a supposed fine dining restaurant, you're doing something wrong.

capocaccia , at yonge and balmoral (south of st clair), offers authentic and delicious italian food in a comfortable, trendy setting. a must-try! i must recommend my favourite dish: ravioli di funghi

real mixed bag. i had a fantastic experience at capocaccia back in 2010. then went back twice in 2011, and it was like night and day. portion sizes were smaller. service was weaker. quality of the food was dimished (we sent back the pasta for being undercooked - first time i've ever sent something back in a restaurant). then instead of giving us a fresh order, they just cleaned off the pasta, recooked it, and sent it back, bite marks and all. i won't be going there again. btw, this is my first negative review on urbanspoon.

reliable any time of day. i have visited this place on several occasions since it opened. for lunch or dinner, on the weekend or midweek, i have always been pleased with the service i received and the food i ordered. they do a very good job with pastas and are willing to make alterations to satisfy requests. the grilled mushroom salad is a favorite.

alas, not everything on the menu offers great value. we’ve been really disappointed by the charcuterie plate, which was mostly prosciutto and kind of mingy.

so long as you’re willing to take a role in finding perfection–ask for bread, your pizza to be left in the oven a minute longer than usual, and a table on the amazingly-well placed streetside patio–i feel confident recommending this restaurant.

great service in a trendy and upbeat setting. good sized portions, well priced for what you get. pastas and pizza are the stars of the show.

pizza all the way. we usually get the giuseppe and/or dante pizzas to take out as eating in causes the bill to add up really fast. while the pizzas are not cheap, they are excellent quality.
