what started off as an extremely warm service turned blah in just minutes.
service was abnormally slow. yes. i know you are busy but that does not mean you forget orders multiple times in a row. the nachos served had cold rubbery cheese simply because the server forgot to bring it to the table. we sent it back only to have them microwave it and bring it back. seriously?! main course took a grand 70 minutes because they got it wrong (chicken curry when we explicitly asked for vegetarian).
great ambience but with average food and patchy service. not impressed.

if you are in a hurry don't visit this place. visit this place with your group of old friends and chat up. the music is not overpowering and the conversations and drinks flow together. very friendly and relaxed vibe.

had been to cantare a couple of times earlier and loved it because of the music. suggested the place to my parents and friends during their goa trip and totally regret it. they had a terrible time... were wrongly billed an extra inr 4000 as in the billing they switched the blenders pride to glenfiddich. the management refuses to correct this mistake. did not know the new mo for earning money was conning customers.

the place is romantic and wonderful. we went on a silent friday evening and loved everything. we just tried the veggie nachos and the grilled veggies, but they were served perfect. we spend a honeymoon evening here, and got a special surprise drink from the managers that were also lovely. the place is very clean and in calm location. pearl in goa. even super clean and wonderful restrooms. highly recommended!

its so difficult to find this place and while you are entering the place, you will never expect the restaurant like this to exist here. what an amazing stunning place, as said live jazz music, sitting in patio is better as the ambiance is just stunning. food is amazing too. i loved this place and was a to do restaurant in goa. will definitely recommend and try this again.

cantare at calangute, saligao goa is famous for the live jazz band on monday evening. an old wooden goan house, converted into a restaurant. climbing the wooden staircase itself gives the feel of portuguese era.

happened to be in goa on monday so went there with friends suggested by them as they are the residents of goa. the jazz band was playing and the house was full, luckily got the place to sit outside the main hall. the weather was pleasant and the atmosphere was lively.

enjoyed the wine along with cold cut salad, chicken caeser salad, hummus with bread.

i've been to goa several times. not once, but several times during the year. i was taken to this amazing, sneaked out place by one my friends who has been living in goa for over 3 months now. the word is amazing, great jazz music and live bands is what you can expect from your visit to this place. some of the must haves from the visit include calamari, prawns and the super juicy beef burger. would definitely recommend and some here for during my next visit.

one of the very few places in goa with live bands and jazz. fine collection of wines and spirits. good spread of finger foods and meals. built in an old portuguese home this place has a certain charm which is classic and contemporary at the same time. heat place to hangout with friends and family. food: 3.5/5. service: 5/5 (opened the bar even when they were shutting). ambience: 4/5. overall rating: 4.5/5.
