somethinggoodon this side of town!. went at 8am this morning and was amazed at there serves right off. most mex places have most of everything from the menu ready by opening but they dont work that way but when i asked for the ench plate they were more than happy to make it for me. then when i asked for a lemonaid she siad sure and made it fresh not like lots of other places that give you the "its not ready, sorry" speech. so that made me happy, i came first and they were not lazy.
when i got home with the plate and breakfast tacos for my husband i was very satified. the tortillas were fresh and the amount of potato n egg in the tacos were awesome!!...
i plan on going back and making this place my neighborhood mex spot... it beats going across town and i get the samegoodstuff (not fastfood) :)

three of us decided to visit this wee place off the busy henderson pass/thousand oaks intersection after church. we had heardgoodthings about it and found it with no problem. it's an old storefront, very clean inside with about 20 tables and waitstaff bustling everywhere. the sign said "please seat yourself" so we found one unoccupied table and sat down. a minute or so passed and we were given menus and gave the smiling lady our drink orders.

for a tiny place the menu is extensive with breakfast items, tacos, combo plates, nachos, menudo, barbacoa and other favorites. we ordered a ham and cheese omelette, migas with chorizo and a mexican omelette with pico de gallo and cheese. all plates for breakfast are served with refried beans, fried potatoes and piping hot homemade tortillas.

the food is simple, seasoned well and served fresh with generous portions. the migas were terrific with crispy tortilla chips, eggs, cheese and a nice spicy chorizo. the omelettes were both huge and very filling, filled with lots of ham and cheese; the refried beans creamy and the potatoes ordinary but okay. flour tortillas were puffy and delicious.

service is friendly and bilingual; prices are reasonable and the casual atmosphere reminds us of many such cafes in mexico run by local families. total for three breakfast plates, three coffees and one soda was $29.54 before tip. que rico!

good little eating hole. breakfast is allwaysgood, service is great, at lunch time you can expect to have a little wait since they tend to get filled up quite fast, other then not that great parking, i give it a 7 out of 10 on food , 10 out of 10 on service and 2 out of 10 on parking

weekend breakfast. this tex-mex breakfast buffet was prettygood& you can tell the owner & staff are making sure you enjoy your dining experience. they offer all the right things you want on a weekend buffet-bacon, sausages, potato 'n egg, pork rancheros, they have fresh corn & flour torts, pancakes & eggs to order. oh my! even menudo-a weekend staple. plus when we didn't see any barbacoa they brought me a taco. it was prettygoodtoo. they do offer a dessert table w some sopapillas, cakes 'n cookies but i wish they would just buy some mexican pan dulce from a local panderia. buffets are'nt my favorite way to dine but i did enjoy this breakfast buffet because it wasn't crowded, the food was fresh & as warm as it could be on a buffet steam table & service was great.

good food.. second visit to camila's. went during the lunch hour and found lots of ppl there partaking of their buffet. we on the other hand ordered off the menu. i tried a lighter lunch w/ enchilada, chalupa, and puffy taco. it was very good. my mother had the carne guisada and also enjoyed her plate. that experience wasgoodathough they appeared overwhelmed and service was a bit slow and dysfunctional. the entry sign said seat yourself but it seems ball was dropped a bit on who is watching the store. so i think they need work on that. other than that our experience was good.
