if you’re lucky enough to snag a window seat, the view is beautiful!

my server was clearly overwhelmed and the gm never lifted a finger to assist her. she was working her tail off but clearly in the weeds. if you can’t back your staff, you have no business being a gm.

needless to say, my service was very slow although my server was polite. i ordered the cd salad, which is basically a chef salad that comes with a warm, fluffy, sweet crescent. no one could resist it but it defeated the purpose of my healthy salad selection.

i enjoyed the view and had plenty oftimeto do so since my server was getting slammed.

this restaurant has stood still in time. the menu, the decor and the dingy atmosphere. if it wasn’t for the view, i’m not really sure why people come here. i won’t be returning. i teetered on two or three for the rating. that servers efforts is the only thing that compelled me to three. gm get off your duff and support your staff!!!

firsttimeat califorina dreaming tonight and it was wonderful ! we got a table right away! our server was great and tended to all of us wonderfully ( even the 2 children that enjoyed their time) the food was amazing . from the salads to the steak ! atmosphere was perfect... window seat on the water was a must for a first timer ! overall great place, we will be returning!!!

worst service i've ever had. i've had better service at a fast food joint. i really did used to love this place but the past few times i've visited it's been horrible service. thistimeput me over the edge so i'm now here.

enjoy ca dreaming every visit!. we visit california dreaming eachtimewe visit charleston, sc. we love the atmosphere and enjoy the food. service is a bit slow during peak hours, but typically i am enjoying a drink and relaxing at that time. overall, i'd give them 4 1/2 of five stars,

such a shame. this restaurant has such a wonderful location and atmosphere, but the food is terrible. i have given it a few visits just to be certain, but eachtimei have been i would have to give it a thumbs down. unfortunate.

it's ok. i've ate here twice. the firsttimei had the grilled chicken and it was really flavorful and moist. the 2ndtimei ordered it the chicken was terribly dry. so dry i only took a couple bites and gave up. we had the traditional nachos as an appetizer and they were so delicious. i got a house salad with blue cheese dressing and it was really good. they make their dressing in house and i really enjoyed it. the salad comes with a croissant and that was by far my favorite part of the meal. finished the meal off with pumpkin cheesecake and that was just ok. if i was to go back i would probably stick to the salad and an appetizer.

slow----great view-but slowest service ever!!!!. the view at california dreaming is the only reason to go. the food is just "ok" and the service will drive you nuts!!! it's sooooo slow!!!!!! we were there for over 2 hours for lunch. i had the caesar salad with shrimp and my husband had the ribs. from the minute we sat down it took forever for our server to take our drink order. then we waited forever for the drinks (2 waters and 1 root beer!) and then forever to get our lunch order in. basically, i could go on and on and on about how long everything took. we have been dining at california dreaming for 6 years now and everytimeis like this---slow slow slow!!! i wish they could get their act together over there because we would eat there all thetimebecause the view is so great. i'm dreaming of the day this happens.....

s l o w .. in my opinion, california dreaming is the slowest restaurant in town. lived in charleston for 10 years and have been to dreaming one too many times. look at the menu while you're waiting for your table. order your food the firsttimeyou see the server because they're not coming back for awhile.

place for everyone. tons of reasons why i enjoy going to this restaurant. if you are in a hurry, they are great with take-out. call up, order, and 10-15 minutes you can pick up your food. people will dock their boats and either come inside or stay outside at the bar.
large booths to lounge in when you want to take yourtimeeating and having fun with family and friends. you can bring anyone here and have a great time!

nice view?. i ate here for my b'day with my mom and husband. all 3 of us enjoyed our meals, but i couldn't figure out why is it such a popular restaurant. the food wasn't out of this world great or anything. i am still puzzeled over that, but if you want to wait a really longtimeto eat some pretty average food then this is your place. the only thing this place has going for it is the great waterfront view.

wonderful view and great food. you can't go wrong with california dreaming. this is definitely one of our favorites in the charleston area. the flounder is the best we've found so far, as well as the salmon. the portions are huge. we love taking ourtimeand relaxing by one of the large windows with a great view!
