if you’re lucky enough to snag a window seat, the view is beautiful!

my server was clearly overwhelmed and the gm never lifted a finger to assist her. she was working her tail off but clearly in the weeds. if you can’t back your staff, you have no business being a gm.

needless to say, my service was very slow although my server was polite. i ordered the cd salad, which is basically a chefsaladthat comes with a warm, fluffy, sweet crescent. no one could resist it but it defeated the purpose of my healthysaladselection.

i enjoyed the view and had plenty of time to do so since my server was getting slammed.

this restaurant has stood still in time. the menu, the decor and the dingy atmosphere. if it wasn’t for the view, i’m not really sure why people come here. i won’t be returning. i teetered on two or three for the rating. that servers efforts is the only thing that compelled me to three. gm get off your duff and support your staff!!!

just coming off of a adventure harbor sunset tour, we conveniently stopped here for a quick dinner. as you'll see in my photo, i was hungry and ate half of my meal before i remembered to take a photo! the california dreamingsaladwas delicious! the croissant practically melted in my mouth. 😋. i was also impressed that they offer to secure a ride for those who over imbibed.

♡ everything about this restaurant staff, atmosphere, and food. i ordered the seafood platter and rolls, the sidesaladwas huge tasty and filling. this is one of my new favorite spots and look forward to visiting again very soon.

california dreaming in charleston is located over the bridge in west ashley, on the water . one may describe their food as upscale bar food. salads are huge and they always come with a "sticky" croissant roll. warning, they are delicious but full of sugar. asaladthere is a hearty meal, california dreaming doesn't mess around with portion sizes. all in all, their food is delicious and the view is incredible. i wasn't feeling like a salad, so i went for some devilish chicken fingers. they are surprisingly the best i have ever had.

great lunch, table overlooking the water, wife loved the shecrab soup, the blue crab claws were nicely done. my wife could not finish the signaturesaladand the oyster poboy had plenty on it. we will return.

it's ok. i've ate here twice. the first time i had the grilled chicken and it was really flavorful and moist. the 2nd time i ordered it the chicken was terribly dry. so dry i only took a couple bites and gave up. we had the traditional nachos as an appetizer and they were so delicious. i got a housesaladwith blue cheese dressing and it was really good. they make their dressing in house and i really enjoyed it. thesaladcomes with a croissant and that was by far my favorite part of the meal. finished the meal off with pumpkin cheesecake and that was just ok. if i was to go back i would probably stick to thesaladand an appetizer.

fancy applebees. the food is not great by any means. i have dined here on many occasions, but always order the same two items. i have sampled some of the other items on the menu since i never dine alone, and the only items that are consistenly tasty are the salads (housesaladw/ house dressing), croissants, and chicken fingers. i have only dined at applebees twice in my life and cd is what applebees would be like with linen napkins. the salads are good and the portions are big though.

slow----great view-but slowest service ever!!!!. the view at california dreaming is the only reason to go. the food is just "ok" and the service will drive you nuts!!! it's sooooo slow!!!!!! we were there for over 2 hours for lunch. i had the caesarsaladwith shrimp and my husband had the ribs. from the minute we sat down it took forever for our server to take our drink order. then we waited forever for the drinks (2 waters and 1 root beer!) and then forever to get our lunch order in. basically, i could go on and on and on about how long everything took. we have been dining at california dreaming for 6 years now and every time is like this---slow slow slow!!! i wish they could get their act together over there because we would eat there all the time because the view is so great. i'm dreaming of the day this happens.....
