good experience here! thecafeis really great!! my last day in cairns and it was great to enjoy a cuppa coffee here! the bacon was really great! my most favourite one! but the bread is not so good...luck i got my favourite avocado.. the service is really good:)

a very busycafebut we were lucky and got a table as soon we walked in. the atmosphere of thecafeis amazing, the staff attentive. food is a little bit on the pricey side but we'll worth the money. i had the chilli eggs and avocado with fetta and poached eggs. the eggs were cooked just right. the only letdown was the cutlery and the glasses were grubby. so couldn't give it a 4.5

a bustling little cairns eatery with exceptional coffee. must try if you consider yourself a caffeine lover. we started off with a coconut caramel latte which was nutty and sweet. for lunch we had the blt (swapped bacon for avocado) and the parmesan truffle wedges. this was very filling and the brioche bun was so yum. the rebeun sandwich was definitely a stand out. such a classic and done very well at caffiend with the side of sweet potato chips. the café is decorated with artworks from a local artist, caroline mudge, whom i adore. down a few metres from thecafeis a graffiti laneway where the old caffiend used to be.

i was very impressed with my experience here. the service was really wonderful. coffee was delicious and my smashed avocado (with a side of mushrooms) had all the right flavours. shame i was just passing through, i would definitely return to thiscafeto try their other options!
also, their brownies looked unbelievable!

a funky littlecafeserving great coffees and dishes. the chilli eggs is my go-to, however i had the soba noodle salad for lunch recently and that was also delicious!

was searching searching see for good food in cairns. read about thiscafeon zomato and came to check it out. genuine service, good coffee, mushrooms on sourdough with balsamic with spinach was very yummy. prepared with care. will come here again when in cairns next time. recommended.

was initially going to find acafewith a view, but decided on going to caffiend instead & was so glad i did! tucked away down a bricked, narrow lane way it is its own space. quirky decor and graffiti on the walls give it an urban appeal. on sitting down at a table outside i was quickly greeted by the waitress who took my coffee order before exploring the menu. i decided on one of the specials which was a poached egg & bacon (open) burger on brioche bread & served with slaw & tomato. it was great! also the coffee was one of the best coffee's i have ever had! a full flavour but not too overpowering and a unique edge to it!
highly recommended. amazing food, great atmosphere & great service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

situated in an alleyway decorated with street art, this funkycafeis very enticing. the waitstaff are super friendly and welcoming, taking our drink order instantly, and adding challenging food decisions with their amazing menu, and specials board. my attempt to decide between meals was confirmed by our waitress, who noticed my trying flip a coin.
the food was prepared promptly, and my spicy chorizo beans with poached egg, roasted baby bell peppers & sour dough was a taste sensation. very filling and satisfying, combined with my usual skinny cap, i would not hesitate to return and recommend.

came here for breakfast. my partner ordered the morning glory which is just your breakfast with the lot (bacon, poached eggs, toast etc) and i had the salmon and poached eggs. both dishes were sub-par. they definitely looked a lot better than they tasted but having a big breakfast at any ordinarycafein sydney would of also done the same job. i guess the lunch menu might be better than breakfast.

my partner also found a little bug in his bacon but they didn't hesitate to give him a replacement. service, decor and atmosphere here is great but food was average.

after a long flight and an upcoming 7 hour drive i was very keen to find a good place to compose myself for and hour. this littlecafetucked away down a lane was a great place to do it. super friendly, helpful staff and tasty tasty food is what you can expect.

what a gem.

you simply do not find this sort ofcafeoutside if sydney or melbourne. to find a lanewaycafeof this caliber in cairns is amazing.

if you love coffee and good food, caffiend is a must.

it was ok, i'd go again. *note-i own acafe(not in cairns)

i had family visiting from overseas, being from interstate myself we were looking for acafefor our morning start. google led me to caffiend.
there was four adults and two kids.
service was fine and friendly. they weren't busy but had a few tables.
the menu was on the eclectic side which appealed . everyone found something to order.
coffees were good. cpl of flat whites, short mac and long mac, hot chocs for the boys.
food was served at reasonable time, hot and fresh.
eggs cooked right , bacon bit crispy for me but i think they'd get away with it.
baked bean and mushroom were nice, toast was hot.
all over, respectable place.

to the disappointed reviews (aside from service) i find it hard to fathom.
maybe the balsamic vinegar has been done, but tick to them for trying to please the eye. cost wise - this is australia! you want to be paid $20/hr for whatever job you do?

well done caffiend. saved us from the "mcdonalds" of cafes such as gloria jeans or coffee club.
