great breakfast. i finally made it by for breakfast. very quiet on a weekday morning, but that was perfect for me! cozy dining room with ample breakfast menu. i got two eggs my way, which came with 4 thick slices of bacon, creamy, cheesy grits, toast, and real blueberry jam. big, hearty portions and delicious! i must go back to try the french toast and the lemon pancakes. ooohh yes i must

was my favorite place in stl. cafe osage was my favorite breakfast spot in st. louis. my fiancé and i drove a long way to get there this morning for breakfast and were turned away because we were 2 minutes late. literally two minutes past when they stop serving breakfast. we arrived at 10:32am on a saturday. they stop serving at 10:30. we tried to explain we came a long way to have breakfast... we offered to order before they seated us... they simply said no. we even spoke to what seemed to be the manager but she had no sympathy. it is extremely disappointing to have such terrible customer service from one of our favorite places.

not worth the time or the money. we were looking for a place to have a bite before we headed back home after a weekend in sl. i read a couple of reviews and figured we'd give it a shot. food was way overpriced. i had the omlete special (small portions) and 2 bison sausage patties. my wife had french toast and we each had coffee and 1 bloddy mary each. our bill was over $50.00! our waiter, bless his heart, didn't know what he was doing. we had to flag staff down for refills on coffee and water. we would not go back or recommend.

i love eggs benedict and cafe osage does not usually have one on its menu. but today they offered a delicious garden eb special. i'm an eggs benedict traditionalist so i worried - unnecessarily it turned out - about ordering eb without meat or hollandaise sauce. the luscious beefiness of the heirloom tomato supported by a thin spread of (neufchatel?) cheese replaced the ham and fresh creamed corn banished hollandaise from my mind. it was a beautiful dish too, topped off with a sprinkle of micro greens.

cafe osage is among the best in st. louis for both outstanding food & ambiance for breakfast or lunch. the stone cut oatmeal coupled with fresh berries is fantastic!

absolutely the best french toast we have ever had. the corned beef hash was average to below average. can not wait to go back for more french toast, and to try the rest of the menu.

first time there, will definately be back. went there for the first time on november 20th, for sunday brunch. the hostess was busy at the moment, so one of the friendly wait staff went ahead and put my name down on the list. they said it would be a 10 minute wait...i was seated in less than that.
jessica was our waitress and she was very friendly and helpful in explaining the daily specials, not to mention she was at our table promptly with waters to start us off.. i had the multigrain pancakes with some sort of sweet, pumpkin yumminess to pour over them. fantastic! i highly recommend them.
my friend and i were there for almost an hour after our meal was finished and they kindly let us stay to chat, jessica continued to refill our waters.
my experience was extremely pleasant, having the garden center there to wander around in while waiting for our table was very nice.....i will definately be back again.

i had breakfast today, i spent 20 bucks with tip. i had bisqets and gravy. it was ok but not worth 9 bucks they charge for it. i had a 4 dollar small glass of oj. i would go to jack in the box and eat all day then here. way too expensive,

really wanted to like it. first time there and i really wanted to like it. the plusses were that the atmosphere nice, and the food was pretty good.
however, the service was absolutely atrocious. getting the waitress to take our drink order took forever, actually getting the drinks took another forever. getting coffee and water refills at our table involved flagging her down with a stobe light...all while 8 waiters stood aound against the wall and goofed off. completely horrendous service.

smo. i was disappointed. the atmosphere and decore were nice but that is about the limit of positive comments. my group of 8 had a reservation for lunch. we arrived and were seated on time. however service was very slow. we paid the parking meter outside for a stay of 2 hours and 20 minutes. it took almost all of that time or have lunch, i ordered the tuna nicoise. the tuna was over cooked which made it tough and tastless. however, the hardboild eggs on crostini and white bean crostini were excellent. all of us ordered either ice tea or ice water. the key word is ice. there was very little of it and the drinks were never cold. when we requested more ice, we were give one glass of ice for several us to share. for dessert, peach bread pudding with carmel sauce was ordered. this pudding was very dry and there was no evidence of either peaches or carmel sauce. one of our party requested more carmel sauce thinking that it might take some of the dryness out of the bread pudding. we were told they were out of carmel sauce and brought us a berry sauce. it helped the pudding but wondered why they had something on the menu that they didn't have available. sorry to say that the group discussion afterward concluded that most doubted they would return.

s-l-o-w. i've been there three times now and each time the service has been so slow. i am a vegetarian now and had the roasted vegetable sandwich. (not many vegetarian choices by the way). the vegetables were not distributed very well and only one half of the sandwich had enough of them on it. my friend ordered a roast pork sandwich and this was very sparse also. when i asked for more of the vegetables they did bring them and then proceeded to charge me $4.00 more on my bill.
two of us were diabetic and asked for a few crackers while we were waiting as the wait was so long. she brought potato chips and also charged us for that.
there is no problem in having to see the nursery because you will have plenty of time while you are waiting for the food. we timed the delivery of our meal at 45 minutes after we ordered it. we were there 30 minutes before we even were able to order.
i have no desire to go back. for my money there is better food and service elsewhere.
