for a small café located away from the dining strip of sturt street, café lekker is one busy establishment. the food here is well done - the breakfast of poached eggs, salmon and avocado is plentiful and tasty. special mention must go to the hollandaise, which managed to convert a staunch non-hollandaise-ee. iced chocolate was a terrible chocolate syrup concoction; admittedly ordering an iced chocolate as an adult was cause enough to send out such a dreadful drink.
service is friendly (if a little chaotic, with our table receiving four different wait staff), and coped on a very busy, hot and noisy morning. the café is kitted out in a strange mix of kitsch and cool, and whilst i'm not sure if they pull it off, there would be hoards of regulars ready to disagree with me.
overall a recommended eatery for regular meals that are cooked well. avoid if you're dining with someone hard of hearing.
