cafe laz is a good little turkishkebabhouse located in newtown. enjoyed their chicken kebabs and mixed iskenders. falafels were pretty dry. but overall good meal for the price.

was met with a scowl upon entry by the woman behind the counter. looked like the owners were having a family catch-up in the restaurant and the atmosphere was awkward.kebabwas bland. not enough sauce, pieces of meat that were hard and inedible due to sitting around in a heating pot for too long. won't be back.

this is our favouritekebabshop. mixedkebabw mild chilli and garlic yogurt for me. fresh salad and super tasty. kids like it too - even my boy who doesn’t usually eat salad 😜

always great food from here, but the previous incarnation run by a kurdish man was far superior. this has less options than its predecessors but it a solid performer.  have tried a number of the different fillings in bothkebaband salads and each has been good rather than great. the combo option is brilliant! meat options are tasty and so are the vegetarian ones.  recommend..

these have to be the best vegetarian kebabs in wellington. fantastic flavours and lots of lovely fresh salad ingredients. don't let the outside put you off. you won't be disappointed.
highly recommended by a very fussykebabeater!

if you think food court kebab's are good you probably won't like cafe laz. you probably won't recognise the taste. i've tried everykebabhouse in wellington and loads in other parts of wellington region and none come close to this place. everything is made fresh and the flavours are beautiful. the owners are lovely too. if you haven't tried it do yourself a favour and try the mixed vegetarian. i've turned carnivores veggie at this place! it's that good.
