cafegratitudenever disappoints. this place, although little, is making eating vegan the new thing. i recommend it for any & all people... even if you just start with dessert.

i'm not vegan, but my wife is so everytime we're in kansas city we usually eat at cafegratitudeand we're never disappointed. i usually get the macro bowl or the polenta and both are terrific.

by p // march 12, 2015 // no comments after running my fastest 8 miler to date (and gaining new 5k and 10k prs in the process!), i had a lot of my morning left since my run with the team was close to home, and time wasn’t wasted with managing a carpool. i was able to get on the bus around 11am, and make it to my destination for lunch around noon. seeing that i already paid cafégratitudein venice a visit some time ago, i thought it would be fun to stop by the larchmont location…and grab some dessert from one of the nearby bakery/shops in larchmont itself ! it was beautiful and sunny outside, but i opted for a table inside. at least i got to sit by the window though. the bar was packed with people, but i was there long enough for the groups to leave. i was also near the baked goods case which i eyed from time-to-time, but i knew dessert plans were going to take place elsewhere! my waitress was a sweet woman with glasses, and after taking my order, left me with the question of the day: who can you acknowledge ? i could have spent my time waiting for my food to ponder this question, but i was starting to feel hungrier as time passed, and obviously this was my excuse for losing concentration but eventually, this beaut of a sandwich did arrive at my table: extraordinary house blt – grilled panini bread, coconut bacon, romaine, tomato, avocado, chipotle cashew aioli, and a side of spicy coleslaw.

cafegratitudeis just what you need after a gorge fest of junk food — vegan/raw. their food is clean, healthy, and at least for me, something i will rarely eat or enjoy. ultimately, for a vegan meal, i thought it was great but not something i’d switch over to. the “community” was a warm dip of spinach and baby artichoke. the choice of toasted gluten-free buckwheat crackers was a poor one as the crackers were just terrible. i mean, a vegan would probably love them, but the taste, texture and smell was something i wasn’t used to. the crostini bread was a little more what i was used to. the spinach and artichoke dip was healthy. no globs of cheese or mayo — just good and healthy veggies and some kind of vegan cream sauce. it was guiltless and somewhat tasty. the “vivacious” were baked kale chips. these were more my kind of vegan snack. the baked kale was very crisp and one would think they were fried in oil. they had good texture and taste, especially dipping in the choice of garlic tahini, cashew nacho cheese, or creamy salsa verde dipping sauces. the “bountiful” was a baked gluten-free pasta. i guess it was the closes thing to mac and cheese. their quinoa shells were crisp and almost crunchy. the roasted eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, and spinach gave the dish a lot of needed flavor. the almond basil bechamel was not creamy, but gave it enough sauciness to keep me interested — and the brazilian nut parmesan gave the fake d

cafégratitudeis a treasure chest of plant-based food experiences. it’s a vegan’s dream, but it’s not just for those who abstain from animal products. it is also 100% organic and they use local products whenever possible – even growing produce on their own farm. it’s a comforting place focused on you and your experience, beyond the food and drink. the menu is an adventure in itself. with names like i am magical and descriptions ranging from “macrobiotic bowl” to “bean pate” there are mixed reactions when i invite friends here. some say, “that sounds inspiring – when can we go” while others respond, “you want me to order what” i am here to attest. i’ve been with a range of people and the resounding answer is (drum roll, please) – yum! if this isn’t the type of place you would normally frequent, open your mind and go out on a limb for this one. you may not know exactly what you are ordering, but is that part o

this is a vegetarians dream come true. if you want to eat somewhere that is quaint and the people are warm and welcoming, then cafegratitudeis somewhere you need to check out. it is clean, inviting, and the food is wonderful. it is so hard to find a restaurant that serves food that isn't laden with chemicals and is delicious at the same time.

waid's in a groovier package. i enjoyed my dinner at cafe gratitude. the decor was pleasing and the other patrons were attractively hip. but my caesar salad, accompanied by our server's request that we think of something that empowers us, was a cleverly repackaged dish that i might have encountered at that ultimately unhip venue that i believe has closed forever, waid's. that is to say, plenty of iceberg lettuce, croutons and salty salad dressing. the hummus was not too good either--and awkwardly accompanied by crackers so thin and lacy that they always broke when any hummus was applied. so, cafegratitudeis a fun concept that tries to pass off very mediocre food as something special. not too empowering.

finding kansas city. the self-proclaimed mission of the café is to express a world of plenty and to celebrate life through food and community. the experience at café graditude is uniquely bright, refreshingly positive and definitely satisfying.... my husband and sister and i ordered salads, juices, soup and pizza when we were in last weekend. cafegratitudedoes a great job of reminding you that healthy food doesn’t have to be flavorless, in fact with their in-house sauces and combinations of texture and spices you’re in for a very flavorful experience. i loved the pesto pizza i had on a live grain cracker, it felt healthy yet satisfying. we would highly recommend as a healthy option in the area!
