disappointing.... my husband and i really wanted to like this place. however, the idea of the food is better than the actual taste. our meals were bland and disappointing... and expensive for what we got. our server was also really slow and didn't pay us much attention. we won't be going back.

the nugget potatoes were perfectly roasted; it also led us to think if the 'curry sauce' was thickened with pureed potatoes, which is the method we use at home.

waid's in a groovier package. i enjoyed my dinner at cafe gratitude. the decor was pleasing and the other patrons were attractively hip. but my caesar salad, accompanied by our server's request that we think of something that empowers us, was a cleverly repackaged dish that i might have encountered at that ultimately unhip venue that i believe has closed forever, waid's. that is to say, plenty of iceberg lettuce, croutons and salty salad dressing. the hummus was not too good either--and awkwardly accompanied by crackers so thin and lacy that they always broke when any hummus was applied. so, cafe gratitude is a fun concept that tries to pass off very mediocre food as something special. not too empowering.

it's a decent vegan cafe with some flavorful options (like the clt or mung bean curry) but the salads are surprisingly basic and disappointing. they are stingy with the mix-ins and charge $13 for the "full salad." for better quality and value, try the mixx.

finding kansas city. the self-proclaimed mission of the café is to express a world of plenty and to celebrate life through food and community. the experience at café graditude is uniquely bright, refreshingly positive and definitely satisfying.... my husband and sister and i ordered salads, juices, soup and pizza when we were in last weekend. cafe gratitude does a great job of reminding you that healthy food doesn’t have to be flavorless, in fact with their in-house sauces and combinations of texture and spices you’re in for a very flavorful experience. i loved the pesto pizza i had on a live grain cracker, it felt healthy yet satisfying. we would highly recommend as a healthy option in the area!

ugh. i'm all about local eating. local food. i have nothing good to say about any of it. i was so disappointed. will never go back. the food - if you want to call it that, and service was really really bad. i wanted to like it but honestly didn't like anything about it, even the ridiculous names of the food. if you are really hungry......sigh, might wanna think of some of the better local places around - plenty of them. i hate writing a bad review from a city i love but i would rather be honest than harp on organic food that has no thought put in it.

so excited to find cafe gratitude after purchasing the raw cookbook last year! the kombucha float " i am enlightened" was out if this world! i already craving another! what a treat! kids had " i am cool" mint shake! cocoa nibs nice with this shake. we ordered to go: granola, i am nourished" sandwich and lentil soup. great flavor in everything! already missing cafe gratitude! local produce and great customer service!

great food. almost love it! when we dropped in we had no idea that we were in for a vegan treat. we were so very pleasantly surprised. the food is soooo tastey. our server was equally pleasant. the only complaint i have is that the water they serve has a wierd, almost fishy taste... i will for sure be eating there again.

what's even more amazing is that everything i ate at cg was delicious. never once was i reminded that i was eating vegan food. never once did i feel grossly full. and the charm and kindness of (most) everyone at the restaurant was inviting. though i'm not ready to integrate this culture to my lifestyle, i can genuinely say i'm a fan of going raw! if i can do it, you can do it, too.

that’s the name of the smoothie i got this morning at cafe gratitude - almond milk, figs, dates, raw cacao and vanilla bean.

i'd go back to cafe gratitude in a heartbeat. i found the environment warm and relaxing and the success with the tacos and dessert well worth another trip to sample other offerings. one note though, there are a few items that have honey from the bar. i think 1%? so why?

i can enjoy a good vegan meal as well as anyone. and the food here is very tasty and inventive - i know how hard it is to make vegan mousse. but i'm gonna call it cafe platitude. i am humble ..... all this positive earth mother new age politically correct foody preachiness. served by the stepford servers. look i understand the aggressive marketing. just make good food and be cool about and leave the in-your-faceness to my ex.
