beautiful, cute cafe very near the beach. the first impression when we walked in thisplaceon a saturday morning was it’s just a cute, normal cafe. but when u entered the courtyard at the back, it was like u walked in a different world. an open, green spacious space with vintage, arty little decorations. immediately it made us feel welcome and homey. the coffee was great, ordered a mocha for myself and chai latte for my hubby. chai latte got a very subtle yet distinctive smell. coffee was rich and creamy. they got a rather small menu but have something for everyone. they got vegan, meat lover and even children dishes.
ordered a steak sandwich which came in really yummy. the only down is the bread was a bit hard to bite in. my hubby and cousin try the paninis with pork belly and pulled lamb. the filling were quite interesting. the pulled lamb one has a lot of spice in it, so be aware if u’re not a big fan of spice. the pork belly was nice and def a crowd pleaser. if only the ciabatta was a bit softer, it’d be perfect.
we found the price is very reasonable compared to melbourne. food came out quickly and service was friendly although u do have to seat yourself. im not sure if it’s a normal thing in geelong.
