great value food, fresh ingredients, loved the garden out back. i really loved this place, its really quaint and funky. it's the first breakfast place i have been to in geelong that i would go back to. great place to come for breakfast or lunch. they have a great variety of food options and something a little more unique than your standard fare. i had the bruschetta because i wanted something light and it was very tasty. everything else looked great too. however, i was not a fan of the coffee. i had a cappuccino and there was way too much milk despite it being in a tiny cup. so not the best coffee. i would definitely go back for the food and would take friends there when they are down from melbourne.

nice food great coffee lovely atmosphere. however i was offended to see so many holy photos in the toilet and when approached the owner i concluded they were there because "people love them and give them something to talk about". i said i found it offensive and disrespectful to christians. she totally switched, was rude and not interested in conversing.
i don't care how much i love the food our friends and us won't be going back there. she could have at least acknowledged our concern..

good coffee, great service, super cramped. people of geelong caught on to how good the coffee and food in this place is and decided to jump in. all at the same time. every morning.

it's a small cafe and has a very nice / ferny little backyard. the staff is amazingly friendly, and the coffee is great. the food is delicious, though the quantities may be small, the delicious taste makes the price seem fair.

i would suggest trying the brekky roll with egg, bacon, aioli & relish or the chocolate french toast sandwich with salted caramel & grilled banana for the sweeter tooth.

hmm, have always loved this place but not so sure anymore. cramped and chaotic, with staff running around not sure of where to deliver coffee/food- time to ditch the grubby soft toys as table numbers.

a slice of cafe heaven. family had breaky before heading back to melbourne. great menu options, really excellent coffee, friendly and efficient service. persian eggs, dukkah, super creamy feta, all eggs cooked perfectly, croatian yummy sausages, spicy tomato relish and seriously great bread. i can't rave enough about the quality of the produce. surroundings also quirky, homey and always interesting. courtyard area out the back worth a look with interesting collection of artworks.

place of character. a great place for a lunch if you want to eat at the back. the garden is cosy and fresh with a twist.

yummy. walked up here from our hotel when we stayed in geelong for week. what a gem of a place. coffe was extremely good compared to the crap on the geelong foreshore. service was fast and friendly- how it should be. geelong really is a hit and miss with eateries- be careful where you go. definately ask locals. we found out the hard way.

we took a mate down from oncology for lunch at cafe go today to get him out of the hosi. it was pretty busy but we managed to find a seat out the back. we ordered 2 brekkie rolls, a steak sanga, and a soup. they didn't have any rolls so the breakfast rolls were served on sour dough and came out within 10 minutes. they were ok but maybe they should consider dropping the price to 5 bucks. we then waited a further 35min we asked how long for the rest we were told 'some things take longer than others' when it did come out it was again just ok and no apology for the wait. too bad if we needed to be back at the hospital. pointers for next time;

1 serve a tables food at the same time. this is basic dining etiquette, if you have lunch with someone you expect to eat with them.

2 if i can get the ingredients and cook the dish myself in the same time it takes you to serve it, i don't need to come to your cafe.

3 if you do happen to ignore the fundamentals of hospitality customers would be more forgiving if you acknowledge the mistakes instead of making excuses.

a secret garden retreat in geelong filled with eclectic riches and scrumptious delights to temp you soul and your taste buds! the menu is a good mix of traditional and different. and the display cabinet is filled with homemade tartlets and other baked goods. the food is to die for! the freshness and flavours are amazing. portion sizes are generous and beverages are homely and delicious too. i had the smoked kippers, i was nervous having never had them before but was amazed at how morish they were. flavours were well balance and it left me feeling happy inside. the rest of the family had french toast and the go big breakfast. the fresh toast was a different take with a bread that had the texture of pancakes and toast at the same time, amazing. fresh oj is sweet and pulpy. coffee is smooth with good flavour. all round a must visit if you're in geelong!

love the interior such a funky cafe! i had the vietnamese chicken salad which was lovely and full of flavour, but would be even better with a bit more chilli and some coriander! the only slight disappointment was my lukewarm chai latte! which should be served hot!

after hearing lots of great reports on the food and coffee i finally made it there .
coffee was great although cups smaller than normal.

food below average... i had a vegie tagine and couscous..which was fairly bland...my friend had a lamb pizza that was disappointingly dry .


would got again for the coffee and atmosphere only...not for the food :(

perfect spot for a long lazy saturday brunch!

good coffee as usual, however, they seem to always be inconsistent in their poached eggs. between our 2 breakfast meal, there were 3 poached eggs, 1 was ok (not perfect) but the other 2 were overcooked. but to their credit, they replaced both without questions. whilst the replacement were better, they were nowhere near how a perfect poached egg should be. but other than that, the food were good and they were of interesting combinations

good food, decent price. the persian egg, whilst simple, was good. the poached egg was well made, not undercooked nor overcooked. the borek was a bit small but it was under $10 so pretty much what i would expect in terms of servings size. coffee was decent too. nice courtyard at the back and nice & cosy fireplace inside.

exactly like mum used to make. no, seriously!!!

cute little place for gathering. lovely place for breakfast and a cup of coffee. staff are super friendly and they give out soft toys as the number plate for the order :d the only disappointment is that they charged 50 cents for a cup of hot water. it's no big money but most other places provide it with no charge..
