great surprise!. what a great restaurant. a friend and i thought we would try it out as part of the 'dine out winnipeg' event. on approach, i had my questions - its a small house converted into a restaurant in the west end, but i was pleasantly surprised from the moment i walked through the front door.
the serving staff were friendly, welcome and knowledgeable. the decor is cozy and warm and inviting. the food was amazing! i had the escargot appetizer, which, while spicy, was phenomenal, followed by the rib eye steak with salsa verde. i eat out a fair amount, but i have to say, that is the best steak i've had in a long time. i cleaned my plate!
