cafe arabica

i am a coffee enthusiast but could never find love in any cafes including starbucks. i was searching for a decentcafein an around anna nagar and stumbled uponcafearabica.

reviews i believe should generally be on the core competency and not on the peripheral aspects. well the core aspects of acafeis decent choice of food, bright ambience, half decent service and of course good coffee.

cafe arabica in my opinion scored in two aspects viz. the choice of food and a really good coffee. i did not like the ambience (dark and noisy) and the service (kept waving for 10 mins to catch the attention of the staff).

overall decent place. need to try their arabic/turkish desserts, but i think i would opt for a delivery option for that. for the overall experience, 3/5.

where do i walk into when i wanna eat healthy ? where do i walk into when i have heavy meat cravings? of course its sea shell, they took the game up to the next level by expanding their cuisine and added up thecafe(cafe arabica) 👍🏾

grill chicken club sandwich - done just clean and neat in the classic way. three layers stacked up (grilled chicken, egg followed veggies, mayo and sauce )
served with french fries and tomato sauce.

barbecue chicken steak - you know it's the best steak you've ever had when, it has a perfectly cooked steak in a pool of bbq sauce, with slight amounts of pepper and salt, and the circling aroma of "the right amount of fire/charcoal " ( yes you heard it right, the aroma that circles in your mouth after gulping it down) 😍🙌🏾 served with veggies and potato wedges, and bread slices this is the best main dish you could order from the menu ✌🏾

chocolate blend - the texture and the taste was just par anything i could describe in words and it remained warm the entire 30-40 mins i dined !!! just blindly order it, totally worth it🤘🏾this is probably the infinite time i'm ordering a hot chocolate (the hopes are alway high🤤😜) and tumbling down all my past experiences, this shifted up to my top 5 places i would visit when i have a craving 🤘🏾

note : if you love trying out new cuisines, try out their arabian desserts. i bet you can't find these rare ones anywhere else in chennai !!! ✌🏾☺️

can’t thank ya’ll enough! even though at this difficult time #lockdown you ppl have never failed with your great services. it was my dad’s b’day and i wanted to celebrate it in a nice way and i dint know from where could i get a cake and damn.... there it wascafearabica ❤️ must say choco truffle is the bestttt cake i have eva tasted till date 😍 keep up the good work and thank u so much 😊

the blueberry cheesecake made my day so much better! highly recommended. would love to visit thecafesoon! ❤

we visitedcafearabica on 7/2/2022 for dinner and it’s such a bad option and we really regret the decision.

the food was awful. we ordered
chicken steak
egg club sandwich
butterscotch pastry

-the chicken steak was served along with bread and it was worst combination i can ever imagine.

-the egg club sandwich was okay. was mostly filled with mayo and cheese

-the butterscotch cake was rotten and they served us and when we informed the waiter. the cake was taken back.

i had such a bad experience this evening and would never suggest this restaurant. it’s a waste of money. the bill was finally ₹578/- and not worth the money i paid.

really happy to review as i can say finally had the best burger in chennai . it was really worth getting one . ordered a grilled chicken burger . the packaging was really good and was delivered hot. this really made my day . thankscafearabic for making such good burgers . can admit these are better than mcdonald burgers 😀

the bun used for burger was very thick, its usually not like this incafearabica idk what went wrong today.

the taste of gulab jamun was really bad and disappointing. didn't expect this fromcafearabica

the bakhlavas were old stock, tasted horrible. never expected this fromcafearabica

absolutely no taste. no cream sauce. no cheesy flavour
very disappointed.cafearabicas penne pasta was once best. but now

steak could have been better..the quantity was very less ! didnt receive the quantity as mentioned by the waiter...ambience and others is great!and obviously the cakes "simply delicious " !certainly one of the bestcafei've been so far.

they have a really wide variety of arabian sweets and there’s a separate section for pastries and drinks also 😀

the ambience is very good with comfortable seating arrangements and properly air conditioned . service was on point and quick . the pricing is decent compared to similar cafes . nothing to complain 🙂

i had american breakfast : bread toast , spanish omlette , chocolate pancake , cereals with milk , fresh juice and coffee ☕️
definitely the platter that you need for a great breakfast . it was very filling 😀 (₹350)

pastries : they have a wide display of cakes , i loved the oreo cream pastry was my favorite, loved the choco nut also . the cream is very fresh and the taste is amazing ❤️

definitely worth visiting :)

cafe arabica which is part of sea shell is acafeat 2 locations in chennai and recently i happened to try the anna nagar one...located right next to the sea shell on the 3rd avenue this outlet too shares its parking with the restaurant..cafe arabica is one of those place that i have always wanted to visit since their opening but only now did i get a chance to visit..so was here for a late lunch recently..

the outlet has some classy interiors with the dessert and sweet display racks up front which actually are a pleasing sign as you enter..for the hot climate the a/c was cooled to perfection and the time spent at thecafedining in was no less than comfortable..the service ppl were attentive and also were kind and polite..the waiting time was however in the high side..it took them 10 mins to plate a pastry and serve...

so i placed the order for a chicken lasagne at 250rs which was served in about 10-12 mins..first look made me think that it was too less for the price paid little did i know i was in for more disappointments...first up the vessel and the way it was presented was not something i expected in a so called premium cafe..as i expected a neatly served lasagne in a plate where each layer is easily visible..but the it was served in a long bowl of sorts..though the filling of minced chicken was good in taste the layers and the making was kind of amateurish and lasagne felt and tasted more like a heated one than a freshly made one...the lowest pasta sheet was completely stuck to the vessel it was served in...

also ordered a chocofeast pastry at 125rs..this too tasted quite average to say the least as it was quite hard and not that moist...the upper layer which seemed like caramelized sugar was kinda off..the combination did actually work well..

for a person stepping in with a lot of expectations this place was more of a disappointment..claiming themselves as a premiumcafewhich does echo only in the pricing as the food is a major letdown...the service and ambiance is not something special that i would give a special mention to...to put it again in simple words..disappointed..
