great overall dining experience. i've known the owner and head chef at cafe 7 for years (his family owns and operates all the bill's fish house restaurants), so i was excited when he branched out to start his own business. that said, i'll try to make this review as non-biased as possible.
the concept for cafe 7 is pretty unique. all menu items are $7, and the staff strives to serve all its dishes within seven minutes (a time which they've met - even during peak times).
the menu is varied, and you could easily eat there every day for a month and not have the same thing twice.
the portion size is very appropriate for the price - perhaps even exceeding my expectations. the salads are large, the pasta dishes are huge, the sandwiches are generous and the pizzas are definitely large enough to share.
i've seen some people knock cafe 7 for a "lack of sanitation", but please... all the employees wear gloves when preparing the food (all of which is made fresh daily in-house), and the owner is a professionally trained restauranteur with an extensive background in food handling. so, i'll be glad to eat my words if cafe 7 ever gets a citation from the okc health department, but to say the kitchen is "unclean" is just a joke.
if i had to say anything negative about cafe 7, the only thing i'd have to say is that it's a bit small given the volume they see (although i don't think the owners ever foresaw the success they'd have). they're working on expanding, however, and i'd imagine there will be at least one new location sometime in the near future.
