firsttimehere and i enjoyed the whole dining experience. you come in and fill out your menu before taking it up to the register before they bring the food out to you. the ability to customize your item, especially the pasta, is much appreciated. i got spaghetti, tomato cream sauce, pepperoni, chicken, spinach, mushrooms, and banana peppers. pricing was great. would love to visit this place again.

the gobbler (thanksgiving in a hoagie). @cafe 7 the gobbler is the best sandwich ever! seriously! lets start with the warm buttery hoagie, warm roasted turkey, cornbread dressing (seasoned with all the right ingredients) oh yeah i tasted the sage & onions! then topped with cranberry sauce & melted provolone chesse. in my mind after reading the seasonal board description, i initially thought it would be a soggy mess. it never once got soggy, it stayed perfect! side note i hate to eat wet bread. but this sandwhich was the bomb diggity! a side of turkey gravy would have been like food heaven. after i ate this amazing thanksgiving dinner on a hoagie. i immediately want to eat another one & run & tell everyone that i knew to come try "the gobbler". this is my thanksgiving/christmas turkey n dressing fix!

create your own pasta @ cafe 7. a little background on how i came up with my pasta. i created it, just as anyone can. i wanted a more cajun style pasta and with blackened chicken added to any pasta can be achieved. i would go to cafe 7 all thetimewith coworkers and friends. most people would eat out of my pasta. the co-owner chris said we should put your pasta on the menu as a weekly special. just jokingly to my surprise the nexttimei went to cafe 7 it flashed misty’ s pasta. my pasta remained on the weekly special due to the overwhelming popularity. months later as in 5months to be exact one of the workers told me what was all in misty’ s pasta because people were still coming in to get it. i just love cafe 7 because their pasta and all meals never lack in flavor. it’s like they season your food for you.

gluten free heaven. i met a friend for lunch who suggested cafe 7. it showed as "gluten free friendly" on urbanspoon, so i thought i would give it a try. when i walked in, there was a line and it was super busy. i was a little nervous and ready to come back anothertimewhen it was not as busy and there would be less chance of cross-contamination. i stayed. i had the choice of 2 cashiers to place my order and opted for the one on the left. just my luck, he was the owner. i ordered an asian salad and needed it gluten free. when i started to explain, exactly what needed, he stopped me and asked me if i knew they also had gluten free pizza? clean gloves, board, pans--everything. no cross-contamination! i was in heaven. forget the salad, give me pizza!

the meal was delicious! if you want great gluten free pizza, this is the place. and if you call ahead 20 minutes, you can have gluten free pasta.

keep watch for their entire gluten free menu rolling out soon! 2 thumbs up!!

just mediocre. i've been wanting to try cafe 7 for quite sometime- was in the area, just right before lunch rush and thought we'd try it.
love the location (right off memorial), love the decorating (feels homey and cozy and clean) - but, unfortunately, don't love the food.
beginning with the ordering process, it is mega confusing and overwhelming for the first time. as soon as you walk in the door, the line is congested because the order slips are just a foot inside the door. you pick up a slip (there are 4 - pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salad) - pick what you want and then get in line to order and pay. it is hard to decide what you want when there are so many options (on each sheet is a "build your own" which is also too many choices). anyway, once you order the food comes out super fast - which is really good if you are in a hurry.
my husband ordered the "build your own pizza - the crust tasted like a mass-produced, pre-made item - he said mediocre. i ordered the baked ziti, it looked fabulous, but it also was mediocre - not enough flavor in the sauce. i also ordered a side salad (which was super crisp and fresh) and a slice of their cake special - chocolate cake. it was just okay, the frosting ruined it in my opinion (i like a rich and creamy frosting and this was more jello based) - the cake itself was really moist though. nexttimei come, since the salad was so fresh, i think i'll do one of their signature salads. (on a side note, the bathroom was not only clean, but also decorated very pretty. more like a home bathroom - not a restaurant bathroom).
i usually end up with leftovers to take home and at almost every restaurant we go to, an employee will come by and inevitably ask if i need a to go box. two employees walked by about 20 times and never made eye contact (never asked us how our food was - not once) and never offered to get a box. really strange for a restaurant (albeit (sp?) this is an order and sit down sort of place, but come on.
i was so bummed, i really wanted to like this place!! it is cute and cozy, it is fast and it is clean - they need to work on their customer service and their quality of food. i will continue to try an item from each of the sheets to see if i can find something i love, not something that is just mediocre ....

just ok............ when this place first opened it was half the size and double the value. the food portions were great, the prices even better. unfortunately, since expanding the quality control has suffered. i used to love their chicken alfredo, but the last 2 times i got it it was tiny and wasn't warm all the way through and the sandwiches hardly have any meat on them anymore. the pizzas are still perfect lasttimei checked, and it's nice to go in with a large group of friends and please everyone as they have such variety, but it's dissapointing lately and i think our group will be searching for a new "quick spot".

get it to go. the firsttimei went to cafe 7 i had a bad experience. it was lunchtimeand my order took a longtime(15min) and they didn't get it all. i was with a group of coworkers and luckily it was when we had 1hr lunch.

i choice to give them another chance, and i haven't been let down since.

i tend to order it ahead oftimejust to pick up. i tend to get the pasta with the cream tomato sauce.

it is always fresh tasting, and for the price you have a good amount of food.

nothing special. went here for the firsttimetoday. ordered a club sandwich, very underwhelmed. it was very typical of what you would receive at a hotel or a cafeteria. nothing unique or great about the sandwich at all. the most dissapointng thing was the side of chips that came with it. if you can even call them chips. they are this strange puffy bland thing that reminds me of rice cakes. doubt i will try this place again. if you want a great sandwich (and for less money by the way) try jason's deli, quizno's or even subway.

soup was amazing. i ate at cafe 7 for the firsttimein march. it was cold outside and i had the soup of the day which was called "garden vegetable". it was spinach, mushrooms, celery, onions, and squash in a garlic infused chicken broth. it was light, but big with flavor. i also ordered half a cobb salad. it was wonderful and it was a very generous portion. my husband had the spaghetti & meatballs - he thought they were ok. but we both agreed that the soup was perfection!

great overall dining experience. i've known the owner and head chef at cafe 7 for years (his family owns and operates all the bill's fish house restaurants), so i was excited when he branched out to start his own business. that said, i'll try to make this review as non-biased as possible.

the concept for cafe 7 is pretty unique. all menu items are $7, and the staff strives to serve all its dishes within seven minutes (atimewhich they've met - even during peak times).

the menu is varied, and you could easily eat there every day for a month and not have the same thing twice.

the portion size is very appropriate for the price - perhaps even exceeding my expectations. the salads are large, the pasta dishes are huge, the sandwiches are generous and the pizzas are definitely large enough to share.

i've seen some people knock cafe 7 for a "lack of sanitation", but please... all the employees wear gloves when preparing the food (all of which is made fresh daily in-house), and the owner is a professionally trained restauranteur with an extensive background in food handling. so, i'll be glad to eat my words if cafe 7 ever gets a citation from the okc health department, but to say the kitchen is "unclean" is just a joke.

if i had to say anything negative about cafe 7, the only thing i'd have to say is that it's a bit small given the volume they see (although i don't think the owners ever foresaw the success they'd have). they're working on expanding, however, and i'd imagine there will be at least one new location sometime in the near future.

dinner bell. lets remember its $7. unfortunatley so does the rest of edmond and the lunchtimethat i decided to visit was complete chaos. so after standing around for a while trying to figure out how to order i noticed you have to fill out a card and take it to the cashier. then i spent the next 10 minutes trying to find a table. groups of people would sit down then one would go order. the pizza was ok for $7. but i felt like i was in a school canteen. good for a group lunch perhaps.
