before dine out, i had never heard of this place. but their menu sounded good so i decided to give it a try. it's actually a prettynicerestaurant with lots of different kinds of seating. they have booths, tables, a bar etc. i liked their booth because it was circular in shape.
one of the things that surprised me was that even though we were doing dine out, they still brought out bread for us. and this wasn't your normal bread in a basket. it was focaccia bread served with olives, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and salt that you could put on yourself. our appetizers we chose were the calamari steak and the octopus. both were very tender and had good flavour. for the main, we had lamb loin with parmesan risotto. the lamb wasn't overcooked and was really flavourful. the risotto wasn't as creamy as i expect risotto to be, but i actually liked it this way. i was really happy with the main. for dessert, we had the lemon tart and the pumpkin bread pudding. the portion of the bread pudding was so large i couldn't finish it. it wasn't anything amazing, but sure tasted like thanksgiving.
overall, service was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was nice, and the food was good. i think if i wanted to go out for a special occasion i'd come back. i don't know what their normal menu is like, but if it is like the food i had today, i'd recommend trying this place out.
