ok ok ok.... third and final visit!!!!. inhad really high hopes after my first visit, but the food was pretty bad (smothered chicken /cold and old... and mac and cheese...fantastic!!! and peach cobbler....terrible!!!! just wasn't good.).

ok anyway second visit was equally terrible but this time the service was the worst imaginable!

the waitress had no service skills whatsoever, offered many blended whiskies when i asked spefically for a sine malt( yeah that maybe a little nit picking but darn at $130.00 per meal+ drinks and tip for two people!!!

ok my third and final visit this past saturday... quick seating, the person seating us never made eye contact, dropped two menus on the table and walked away. i had to double check to make sure i was appropriately dressed... darn there's a guy in here with flip flops on, so i guess that wasn't it.

i had the lamb (cold and small). i had this before at ovations... this time made me angry... but i was nice and ate some of...mac and cheese excellent. the music was way too loud and was not very good!!!! oh am i shouting, that's how my entire dinner experience went. i have never been so dissappointed in a dinning experience before. they need gordan ramsey in a f word hurry. never again!

on a scale of. 1 - 5 it gets a generous 3. when i visit a resturant i am looking for a complete dining experience. the service was well short of any experience i've had where i didn't have to order by the number and decide to super size. the atmospher was extremly nice, a near tapestry of nations. they didn't have my first two selections of prime rib and lamb chops very disappointing. but the sides were very well done. (mac & cheese/yams). the price was notworththe "dining experience". and barelyworththe meal selection. i'll go back once again, maybe they had a bad night! i'll let you know.

first visit--food was beautifully prepared and actually very good. they ran out of prime rib so i settled for the lamb chops, they were rather small for the price but very well prepared. ther service on the other hand was terrible!!! i waiting nearly 20 minutes before even getting water to the table and at least that long before a waitress even presented herself. once we ordered things improved but only slightly. i will go back, but if the service isn't better it will be my last.

brunch and dinner. buttons brunch was southern comfort food that i went back for dinner to try the wonderful potroast. there was a one man band there on sunday that was awesome. i love both locations, but the orginal in ftworthhas better service and is sometimes less crowded as the the location addison.

overrated. a good date spot because of the intimate/fun atmosphere and live jazz band. the food is a total rip-off and unremarkable. i ordered their famous chicken and waffles, i believe the dish was nearly $20, it might have gone up in price. it was truly disappointing, a stack of waffles that were insignificant and tasted like something i could get at waffle house; two pieces of pathetic fried chicken and a scoop of collard greens. notworththe price at all. i feel like i could've made a stop at waffle house and church's, get better tasting-food and more in quantity for 20 bucks. this place is only good for first dates.

good eatin!. i have been supporting this place since the owner keith opened the first spot in fortworthon hulen. i love the atmosphere. there is usually live music on the weekends and a very romantic setting. i love the chicken and waffles and the country fried ribeye. the food is a little pricey but the portions are pretty big. i enjoy myself every time i go!

horrible in every aspect!. totally disappointed! i live in westover hills, 5 mins away and had been wanting to try this place for sometime. in the mood for a chicken fried steak we headed to charlestons on hulen. as we've passed buttons many times we decided to try it out instead. we were seated immediately in one of the front booth. our waitress came and greeted us. i made the remark of advising her that this was our 1st visit and she immediately became energized and bubbly. we ordered 2 mix drinks that were very good. we then decided to order. i had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese. my partner had the shrimp creole and jalapeno grits. our food came and i was turned off immediately. my chicken fried steak was cold and had definitely been prepared before hand. the mashed potatoes were dry and crusty. the man n cheese was dry as well with burned cheese on the top. my partners plate was very disappointing as well. the portion for $18.00 was equivalent to a cup of soup. although it was good it was notworth$18.00 dollars. i asked the manger to replace my food and he did. it was much better than before. the manager was by far sympathetic towards the fact i was dissatisfied. needless to say i will never go back. i don't mind spending $86.00 dollars but only for quality food. this was by far quality nor good service. also the ceilings to this place are dirty and dusty. i looked up and was checking out the place and saw nothing but dust and dirt. i'm sure all this is falling in the air.

the worst service ever. while the food was good. i don't think that it'sworththe wait. i've been there twice. 6 weeks apart. no special events or anything unusual going on. however we sat for nearly 30 mins before being acknowledged by the server. in which i had to go to the hostess to have someone come take our order. the server didn't even mention anything about us having to wait as long as we did. he takes our order. disappears for about 15 mins before he brings us our drinks. when the food finally arrives the runners only bring part of the order. no one received a refill on their drinks until it was time to go. the server disappears and never checked on us to see if we wanted refills or removes all those plates they give you or our checks when we were done eating. i had to go to the hostess again to ask for the server and while she's looking for him then to send the manager on duty. the manager did the best he could to smooth things over and explain things. doesn't really matter. not ever going back. i'd rather pay $80 for a steak and have some wait on me hand and foot than to pay $20 and receive crappy service.

totally notworththe hype!!!. went to button's addison last night. arrived at 7 pm; was told it would be at 2 hour wait. stood up for 2.5 hours because there was no where to sit. with a restaurant with this much hype, knowing there would be 2 hour waits, where are the seats??? ok, with all the wonderful reviews, 'best place to eat, fort worth'... we felt good food isworththe wait right? not!!!
after finally getting seated, we were told it would take 1.5 hours to get our food. really????? ok, again, excited to eat good food, we can sit and chit chat, listen to the band.....not
after waiting another 2 hours for our food, the manager approached our table to tell us our ticket was '4' tickets behind... and that his kitchen 'went down'.......what??? then make announcement that the kitchen went down and we that the chances of us getting our food is slim to none instead of allowing us to wait, spend money on mixed drinks and brew in pistivity because you haven't gotten your food. we decided to leave. ultimately, we spent 4 hours waiting in this restaurant and still didn't eat. several tables up and left as well. if you are having a grand opening of your new restaurant and your success depends on your customers, buttons addison totally missed the mark. my friends and i believe in paying for good food. i would not ever recommend this place to anyone i like.
the crowds at the door, the line to park going out to the street. totally unorganized. don't waste your time or your money.

great but crappy service. this was the nicest places for soul food in the dfw area if you ask me. it's a bit pricey but i feel it'sworthit. my waitress didn't even know i existed and didn't even offer a menu. it wasn't until she realized she couldn't bill me without knowing what i ordered, did she ask. i got the buffet because that's what i saw everyone else doing.

music was amazing thanks to the "knice 2 know" band.

ok ok to the food! melt in your mouth good. they even have "ole skool kool aid" on the menu. you can't get any better than this in regards to ambiance and food.

i must say i found the sunday brunch at button's very disappointing. the price $19.00 extreme for the layout.
the eggs runny, potatoes unseasoned, the mac & cheese horrible, and the green questionable. how do charge $19.00 for a buffet and have no dessert? i really didn't understand that one. our waiter appeared very lazy and we always had to look for her. the band, excellent, that was there only saving grace. button's may serve better as a venue for happy hour, but diffidently notworththe trip from irving for sunday brunch.
the buffet at gandy's could really give button"s a run for the money, at a fraction of the cost.

won't go again. my husband and i went for sunday brunch and will probably not be back. when we arrived we were seated over in the booths by the bar even though it was completely empty and the other patrons were in the 2 other sections. we waited and waited for someone to come ask us what we wanted to drink and finally the manager had to come take our order. my husband got the chicken and waffles and i chose to eat from the buffet. for $19 i definitely expected more than overly seasoned macaroni, soggy french toast and pancakes and bland fried potatoes. it was a small buffet for the cost. at almost $50 to eat there for a brunch, it was definitely notworthit.
