first time to go eat in the evening. absolutely loved it. the service was great, every single one of the waitresses were friendly and fun. the jalapeno grilled pork chop was outstanding. will definately go back in for dinner again.

prices. the note you posted entrees under $10 is not correct. breakfast maybe but lunch and dinner are higher. the nightshift manager is rude and will cost the cafe a lot of business. customer service should always be at the top of the list!! the wait staff does a good job, then you have to deal with the night manager and almost spoils your dinner in your belly. protions are good sized but some are just too high for the times, and there are too many new resturants opening that are much cheaper and just as good. if you own or manager the cafe, do something about the night manager!!!!!!!

went there other day for first time with work friend.  we saw one of cafe workers, a korean woman, who was apparently testing how hot the food is with her bare fingers.  decided not to order and went to another cafe down the street.  this is not sanitary food.

omg... this was the worst food we ever had in our life.... horrible !!!  horrible!!!  horrible !!!  we could not eat any of it... the waitress said she was sorry...

i will never go back. ordered a steak and was not able to cut it and it looked like it came from the sewer.
the fried okra was burned. told the girl waiting on me and my wife but nothing was done.
again told the girl taking my money and nothing was done.
they had no problem taking my money and did not hear "sorry".
will never eat there again. bad for your health and pocket book.
if i could.....they would receive a - 10 score.

while this restaurant may not look fancy nor does it have fancy food, it routinely has some of the best service and straight forward food of any place in hurst, euless and bedford.

i would rank the food a solid 3.5 - 4 as i've had better food however buttermilk cafe consistently delivers above average home cooked meals that for the price, really can't be beat.  breakfast is a favorite of ours (along with most the area) and we make every attempt to eat there at least twice a week in the morning and end up eating several times a week for dinner.

the bakery items are fantastic and some of the best i've had.  their cinnamon roles are to die for and every desert we've had is better than most in the area.

the service is what makes buttermilk cafe really shine and also keeps us coming back (along with the food and price) multiple times a week.  it's fast, friendly and i've never had a bad experience with take out or dine in.  about the worst i can say about the place is that it's regularly packed in the morning and the bathrooms are tiny.  aside from that, it's quickly become a favorite of ours the second we moved to this area.

went here last friday for the catfish special. the food was excellent and people friendly. i will definitely come back. the meatloaf was ordered at another table and looked delicious. i will probably order that if i go on another day besides friday because i love catfish.

i've been going off/on since they opened.
food consistently good, friendly career waitress staff. get there early on wknds, will queue after 10a.

owner needs to get a realty check. he recently fired his senior waitress because another waitress wanted more hours. come on now....the senior person drove from granbury every morning (use to be 5 days, then got cut to 4 then down to 3) and got there before 6 am. others are lucky to get there by 7am. the people he has now do not know what customer service means. when you are the first and second in the door in the morning and 3 others come in after you, who do you think should get coffee first. it is not the first and second in the door. the girls would rather chit chat than take care of customers. not to mention they do not know how to get things done, like fill the sugar bowls, the coffee cream bowls, check the ketchup bottles, the normal in the morning tasks.

horribe customer service. food was horrible quality today, but the customer service was worse! could not get refills on drinks, chicken and dumplings was a bowl of gravy with no chicken or dumplings. three of us complained about the food, and were not offered a substitution. the manager was extremely rude, and lost our office staff as customers.

wonderfully delicious! from out of town, visiting family and ate here two mornings in a row. we love variety and have never done that before. there are a lot of classic favorites done very well. the only item greasy was the bacon. adding chocolate chips to the pancakes make a great dessert ending to a perfectly made three cheese omelet with fresh made in house salsa. so good!

speaking as a server. in reference to servers taking one or more tables order at a time. i have seen many times where the server puts the food in and the food comes out reverse of how it was put in. don't you realize that this also upsets the server? don't you think most good servers see this happening? but tell me, what do you want the server to do? i agree that buttermilk has it's faults, as all places of business do, but a lot of the servers at this restaurant truly care about customer satisfaction. but you as the customer also need to remember that a server can not fix a problem if you, the customer, don't let the server know. complaining to the cashier/manager/owner is to late to have something done. please, please tell you server. and please remember that you do not have to be rude about it. most (good) servers will do whatever it takes to get the problem taken care of. servers can't fix the problem if you don't tell them.
servers deal with a diverse group of people through out the day. some happy, which is a great, and some people that aren't so happy.
please remember that this is not fast food. and if you are in a hurry then you need to go to a fast food establishment or come in earlier.
one last thought.......you may not realize this, but hungry people are the hardest people to take care of?

delicious. every time i come to buttermilk cafe, the waitresses are friendly and great, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is just perfect for any time of the day. i love their chicken fried steak and their pork chops! they never fail to satisfy!
