this restaurant is just phenomenal. i cannot say enough good things about theburgershack. from the delicious burgers to the breakfast to the warm and lovely staff, this place is out of this world. i have been coming to the shack since childhood and i will continue to come here until the doors close (hopefully that will never happen). the ingredients are all really fresh and top quality, the meat is just about as good as you can find. the prices are completely reasonable for the quality of ingredients. every time i walk into this place the staff treats you like family. i highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. the home burgers, onion rings, french fries and just about everything else are homemade daily and fresh. the fish and chips are one of my favourites in the city. try it, you won't be sorry.

very good. working in the uptown has it's perks. namely i can eat my way around the neighbourhood and report back to all you sexy urbanspooners. so one friday am a few weeks ago i made the dummy mistake of misreading my schedule showing up early to work--an hour and a half early. my boss just laughed at me, did the once over and gave me some sage advice. her words of wisdom?

"go over toburgershack gurl. they make a fabulous hangover breakfast."

the onion rings are like no other: they have this thick, fluffy batter and crispy exterior that i love. dip 'em in the gravy for a truly exceptional experience. this is my favourite thing aboutburgershack.

you can split aburgereasily (if you can restrain yourself) and are a cut above the chains. nothing crazy, nice and simple.

get a shake and fries for a classic combo. the fries are also great with a classic vinegar and salt combo if you're more traditional.

the souvlaki is delicious and has a great grilled, marinated flavour. dip it in their accompanying creamy sauce (like a tzatziki but no cucumber?) for extra decadence. if you get it with the salad with the souvlaki, it's best to have the dressing on the side or it can get goopy.

atmosphere is down-to-earth old-school. plenty of seating, easy to take out. don't forget cash, unless you're okay using the available atm.

theburgershack is a first for me!

i went to theburgershack with guillermo palomares from guillermo's creative hair salon who more than highly recommended this place since they have a very good reputation for making burgers!

yes, that is true!

not only do their burgers taste good, but they are quite large as well!

for your information: on the google maps, they have over 300 reviews with a five (*****) star rating and i can see why?

i am also recommending theburgershack out in toronto, ontario canada if you are looking for a great, tastyburgerto eat!

i want to personally thank guillermo palomares for taking me there to eat back on wednesday, december 20, 2017.

sincerely yours,

the best thing on this menu is the home burger, made fresh not frozen. i love their banquet burger, which is a homeburgerwith cheese and bacon.
the people who work there are very friendly, they make you feel right at home.
the late-night hours are also appreciated.

i have passedburgershack for years and years, but today i had an opportunity to stop in for dinner and try it out. i ordered their 6 oz homeburgerwith swiss cheese, and onion rings. there were several people who had placed their order ahead of me, so i had to wait a few minutes for my food.

theburgerwas fairly good, much better than fast food burgers for sure. based on my experience, it is comparable to many mid-levelburgerjoints in town. the onion rings are a bit different than others. i believe they used a cornmeal batter. the taste and texture of the batter was similar to a corn dog that you might get at a carnival. the batter almost hid the taste of the onion. i didn't mind that, but it was different.

so i decided to stop in for aburgerand onion rings. theburgerwas thing and plain. bland so to say. nothing special. the rings were ok. the vanilla shake was took light. was as if its whipped. very air like. texrure. not much to it. the vanilla flavor was pretty good. over all i paid $16 for my food. i was not impressed. definetly not worth the money. i wont hate on the place. some people there did appear to be enjoying there food. but it just wasnt for me. when i think if an old schoolburgeri want thick and meaty. not thin and bland. just my 2 cents

really old schoolburgerjoint that also offers souvlaki sandwiches & subs.  they have lots ofburgerconfiguration but ultimately you can pick what you want in it (harvey's style).  the patty is really large and thin with a nice char flavor but a bit overcooked sometimes. french fries and onion rings are pretty solid.  would come back for sure.

i have been here 2x and will eat grass before i go again.
the food is barely food. my doubleburgerhad only one pattie, but i figured that was the universe telling me i didn't need that much red meat. i just hope that the owner reads this to know what a bold-faced belligerent liar s/he has working for her/him. i noticed when i got to the car that i didn't have my purse. i drove over and parked in the handicapped since there was no place to park, intending to get my purse off of the chair and go. it wasn't there. i was looking in the trash when an older, black haired woman paused her private phone call to demand to know what i was doing. i said i was looking for my purse. she yelled no! like i was a dog fixing to pee on her leg. i said i knew i had my purse when i cam in. i remembered putting on my jacket and having to take it off again because my purse was on my shoulder. she yelled that she saw me and i didn't have a purse, that i came in with only my phone and some money. rather than help me look, she followed me around yelling that it wasn't where i was looking. i knew this wasn't true, but i was mad so i went and took half my tip out of the tip jar. she physically confronted me and i put it back firguring i would never be as poor as a liar. i went and moved my car out of the handicapped spot and thought through my actions since leaving the house. i knew that i had paid with a $20 that i had just gotten from the grocery and that i had received change, which i remembered putting in my purse separate from the other $20 bill i had because i do that when i am going to dark places, as i am later, because i do not see well. even though the woman's belligerent actions and tissue of lies had me doubting my own mind, i went back in to beg the young girl who had waited on me to give me my purse or help me look for it because i was by then sure they had it somewhere, the place was empty except for an older couple with their grandchild. the young girl brought my purse to me out of the back. by then the liar was acting all mock-contrite, but i was not willing to accept that she had merely made a mistake and i called her out on her tissue of lies that had wasted a large amount of my time. she accused me of cursing her out and proceeded to tell more lies about how she had seen me standing where i did not stand, etc. just piling lie on top of lie. then she made as if to throw me out and told me never to return--that is one thing we agree upon. i will eat grass first. i feel sorry for anyone from the west coast that thinks this is even a halfway decent burger. go toburgerrepublic or hwy 55 for burgers worthy of the eventual colon cancer!

nothing special about the burgers. had better at fast food joints and even restaurants not specializing in burgers. their patties (6oz) are the thinner style. standard toppings. i had bacon and cheese with mine. no homegrown creations like the "the priest".

also had a poutine that was not that great because the cheese curds didn't melt - either the gravy or fries were not hot enough to do the job, or the curds were too cold to begin with.

with so manyburgerplaces in toronto to try for the best tasting juicy burger, why would i come back here? no reason. and no reason to recommend.

i stopped intoburgershack on my way home because i wanted a quick and cheap burger. u love that there was available free parking which usually prevents me from grabbing a quick bite at other places. its a real old schoolburgerjoint or dive you might say but the burgers are classic and tasty and you can get a pretty tasty milkshake there too. i got the y oz homemade burger. it was simple but good. the place could use a bit of a makeover but if you are getting food to go you wont care.

that’s theburgershack, in a nutshell. it’s not much better or much worse than any other old-schoolburgerjoint in the gta. it is what it is.
