opened in 2012, this downtown fullerton restaurant is located next to the night owl coffee house.
we came here on memorial day, and i had the parlor burger, which they claim is the in n out double double on steroids. it was agoodburger, but not for the price. i'd much rather go to the actual in n out or, 4th street market in santa ana and get the wagyu chuck's version yelp.com/biz/wagyu-chuck… of their double-double.
stephen had the smoky burger, which he really enjoyed. we shared the half-and-half which was 4 large onion rings over a serving of fresh cut french fries. one yelper commented the french fries were very much like in n out. i agree except bp adds salt and pepper, not just salt.
not a cheap place to eat as our lunch set me back $30. definitely not in n out prices!
after weighing in the price and what we got, i'm giving this place 3 stars. hmm, maybe if it wasn't so expensive, 3 1/2 stars.
there's just too many burger places out there, and even though i like to support the local merchant, i'm not sure if this will be a frequently visited place for me. don't get me wrong, the food was good, ingredients are great, but after eating the 4th street wagyu chuck, this paled in comparison.
