local gem. burger land was a find for me as it is nestled on the intersection of shiloh and kingsley in garland. i happen to work about a mile or 2 from this establishment and stopped by for an after work burger and was surprised by how good it was. i have had both the"thebig land" and"thetornado" burger and each was equally delicious."thebig land" burger is a whopping 1/2 pound burger that icludes sauteed onions, mushrooms, jalepenos, american and provolone cheese, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles."thetornado burger" is almost the same except it has bacon, sauteed bell peppers and bbq sauce. if you are really hungry they also serve 1 pound burgers. the meat is tasty and has a hint of delicious smokie flavor to it.
one of the major cons to this place is that the atmosphere is kind of lack luster. as one of my co-workers put it, "it's not a place where you would bring a date." but if all you are looking for is a good burger then you can find it here.
