best food i have found here. best hamburger in florida.servicewas fantastic and the view was great.

this restaurant is in a beautiful setting and while the menu is fairly simple the food is pretty good. the server that waited on is had the personality of a shoe and overall was not super fast but probably on pace with other places in the lower keys. theservicewas not enough of a detractor to make me not come back though as limited choices outside of key west mean that something has to be pretty terrible to be completely excluded. rating this a 4 but it would likely be more of a high 3's if zomatos rating system were better.

terribleservice-waited almost an hour for food. i'm sure the food is good - if you ever get it. stay away from the bar area - no none seems to know what is going on. extremely disappointed

service time and food disappointing, although the outdoor atmosphere is good!. went just before 1pm, so the after lunch crowd, thinking that we would be able to avoid some of the badserviceissues that other reviewers experienced. we were seated right away but then had to wait 20 minutes to even be waited on and then another 45 minutes for our food to come. when our food finally came, it was cold. the fries were too heavily salted (and also still very greasy), the grilled fish was cold to the touch, and the hush puppies were a little mushy in the center. the atmosphere was the only thing that is good about this place. there was a nice breeze and it was a beautiful day outside. i overheard one of the waitresses telling other customers that the orders are prepared in the order in which they are received, but we observed two other tables receiving their orders before ours and they came in after us. disappointing. i will not be returning, even for the "famous burger."

go somewhere else!!!. worstservicein the world. 90% of the people here don't have food. my family has been sitting here for over an hour. we had to ask them 45 min into ordering if we could get our plate of chips. we are about to go to the mcdonalds across the street.

one of our many favorites!!!!!. have been to burdine's several times while on vacation. excellentserviceeach and every time! very accommodating to everyone in our party. super fresh seafood, and those homemade fries are fabulous!!!!!

amazing!!! don't pass this treasure up in the keys!!! outstanding food andserviceat a great price! my hubby had the blackened tuna and i had the green chile cheeseburger (yummy)... they were both excellent! oh, and don't pass up the key lime pie... we have been on a search for the best klp in the keys and we found it here at burdine's!!!

great place. we stopped on our way down to key west. best food we ate on the entire trip. french fries are to die for! we had the angus bacon swiss burger with garlic mayo. amazing.serviceand location are also great. if you're in that area make sure you stop.

good food. we ended up at burdines, purely by chance. a guest staying at our condo suggested it. we decided to give it a try. my husband had the three cheese steak key sandwich, my son had the bacon cheeseburger and i had the grilled yellow fin tuna sandwich. we also shared a basket of the delicious fries. all of our food was excellent. great flavor, etc,servicewas great. it was busy but the 2 servers were fantastic. the highlight of my meal was the deep fried key lime pie. can't wait to go back.

pilots $100 hamburger. i flew down from daytona beach on a solo training flight and had to stay in marathon a little longer than expected. i wanted to grab some food, so i called a taxi. the driver recommended burdines, and i went. the burger and fries were fantastic!!! theservicewas laid back, and the view was great. will definitely be flying back down for a burger again! (btw, pilots call trips for food $100 hamburgers, as before gas prices went up, you could fly to another city, get food, and return for about $100)

burdines is one of my favorite local spots in marathon. the view is everything you expect in the keys. the food is good (love the fries!) and theserviceis average. the keys are very laid back and sometimes that reflects in the service. you just cant expect speedyservicebecause thats just not how many locals work down here. but if you have time to relax snd enjoy the florida keys way of life, i recommend the place for a bite to eat. the restaurant is also dog friendly which i love!

not recommended. my friends and i were heading down to key west for spring break vacation when we decided we wanted to stop to eat. we picked this place because of the favorable reviews on here, but we were mostly disappointed. when we got there we were very impressed with the view and atmosphere. unfortunately, we had to sit inside because the deck tables were all taken. it was quite a while before we were actually helped.

the soda that came in the can was pretty flat, not sure what that was all about. my friends ordered burgers and quesadillas and really enjoyed the flavor and portion size. i, on the other hand, ordered a fish finger basket. i wasn't happy with the portion size, and the taste was pretty average. we shared fries which were extremely good, tasted like they were cooked in peanut oil.

we had 2 different servers helping us. one was very pleasant but the other was extremely rude. she gave us an attitude when we asked for separate checks and didn't smile once. overall, the food was good, view was amazing, andservicewas atrocious.

fantastic food that won't break your budget. the food here was excellent. we got fried fish, fish sandwich, fried chicken basket, fried shrimp basket and the sesame tuna salad. the only thing that was just ok were the fried shrimp, but for the price it was pretty decent. the fried fish was outstanding and the fried chicken was both plentiful and tasty. the biggest surprise was the seared tuna, as it was incredible and it really did come of mixed greens (no romaine in sight! woo hoo!) the fish was fresh and delicious. theservicewas friendly and pleasant. the view was beautiful and we saw dolphins in the channel while we were eating. lovely spot.
