i was quite surprised at how large the restaurant was inside. when all you get to see from the outside is a big door, you can’t really see what’s happening on the other side. there are a lot of tables here, and several levels.  we tried the spicy rock shrimp bao buns. these were like the pork ones, but without the oink, and included pickled slaw and jalapenos. these were nice and spicy and zesty with a sour and sweet crunch. let’s face it, iloveanything with crunchy slaw on it. for those of you non-pork eaters, this is a great way to enjoy a bao experience. these are the  general tso’s dumplings, which were filled with chicken and a hot &

delicious!!. my husband and ilovebuddakan! the food never disappoints. amazing and knowledgeable servers too! favorites are kobe beef satay, king crab tempura (to die for!), zengria and passion specialty drinks. you really can't go wrong!

can't wait to get back!. i was just there but can't wait to get back already! iloveeverything about buddakan~ the ambiance is chic and it screams welcome. some say that it's too pricy but that depends on your palate and your pocket~lol. if you have the money and the plate for an exceptional experience then this is the place for you. trust me, i don't take fine dinning lightly;)

absolutely delicious. the fish here is incredible! iloveextra rare tuna steaks, and the tuna was a beautiful ruby red - so flavorful! also, the chocolate bento box dessert was sinful, but worth every last bite.

wonderful experience!!. i think some of the items are a little pricey but the environment is very cool, with interesting and very very tasty menu items.. ilovethe food and the service was great.

ilovethis place!. i went to philly back in november and this was my favorite place. the food was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. i can't wait to go back sometime.

philly diners eitherloveor hate steven starr, but there’s no denying that he is an influential player in the city’s food scene. i have always been an enthusiast of starr’s restaurants and believe that his venues add value and variety to the dining lands
