very good. it's only good to go for special dates. i love the food there it's soo good but very pricey

best in old city. this is a great restaurant for any occasion...the food is excellent and so is the service...i've visited this restaurant many times and haven't had a complaint...i've been to the one in nyc also but this one is better...this is the best in old city...i extremely recommend it.

like it.. but.... ok, i like buddakan but here is the thing... some items are amazing and others are just average. if you choose the more interesting items you won't be disappointed, standard fare tastes, well, like standard fare... angry lobster isn't worth the price... wasabi mashed potatoes are to die for:) the king crab tempura is also very good as is their version of the 'ceasar' salad...

i had eaten there 5 years ago and it was one of the best meals i had ever had! i recently went back in may and was somewhat dissapointed. i am not sure if i had buiit my memory up so high that no matter what i ate it wouldn't of met my expectarions.
tuna was awesome and cooked perfectly to our request.
the dumplings which had been carving were just ok. last time i remember them melting in my mouth.
the ambience is fun and a place that is visually entertaining.
i may have had an off night but it was just good not great for the price.
two entrees, two appetizers, two drinks total was about $170.

fun desserts. after an awful excuse for a meal in nolibs, my friends and i head over to buddakan to cleanse our palates with the chocolate bento box and banana tower. so glad we did. enjoyed the zen feel of the place when most guests had left.

philly diners either love or hate steven starr, but there’s no denying that he is an influential player in the city’s food scene. i have always been an enthusiast of starr’s restaurants and believe that his venues add value and variety to the dining lands

lamp chops. first time i was at the buddakin was years ago with my son. we enjoyed the presentation and the fusion of asian and american. lately, coming back to the place was just as good-- the lamb chops were to die for.

gets my vote!

high on urban, so-so on spoon. buddakan had wonderful appetizers (the kobe beef skewers especially) and an amazing dessert of doghnuts, but the main courses were nothing to write home about. the people watching was really intriguing; it looked like most people there were there to be seen eating at buddakan's. stay away from the eggplant; too large for such a rich dish. the tune carpaccio was a good idea but didn't work.
if you are looking for an interesting evening, then by all means. if you are looking for interesting or innovative food, move on.
