let me start by saying they have somegreatideas, but poor execution. the best part about this experience was their decent selection of microbrews. the service was also wonderful. the food was a different story. the chicken in my friends dish and mine was dry, and overcooked. the tuscan chicken tasted and looked about as impressive as the frozen bags of italian pasta w/ chicken at walmart that one can get for $4. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't what i'd call good either. the menu was predominantly geared towards lunch, offering many sandwiches, pizzas and salads but not a whole lot in the entree department so it was less than ideal for dinner. the atmosphere was decent, and the prices were reasonable but it really wasn't worth the hour wait to eat something i could have made at home with minimal effort. i probably won't be going back considering that there are plenty of other better restaurants within a block or two that offer better food for around the same price without the wait.

good food, poor service. broken rocks has a nice menu.greatsoups, too. they're exceptional. the problem, however, is awful service. frankly, it's difficult to get in and out of here in less than an hour over a lunch. i think it's an organizational issue, not that anybody is lazy.. i notice that there are no clear roles. everybody is floating around trying to do everything, and in the end the service suffers. a case in point is the person who takes your order makes much of your order. okay, so what about the guy behind me? the service needs to improve or this nice restaurant won't last long.

favorite weekly place in wooster. when we're looking forgreatfood at a modest price, broken rocks in downtown wooster is definitely our local favorite. we visit about once a week for the fresh salads, crisp thin crust pizzas, and tasty pasta dishes -- and of course they're sourdough bread. to top it all off, choose from a nice selection of home-made desserts, including an excellent cheesecake. the food is complemented with a good wine list and beer selection, as well as mixed drinks from the bar. (according to my wife, they made the best mojitos in the area, which hopefully they'll bring back in the summer.) (may 2010 the mojitos are back and asgreatas ever!)
