great place to "pig out". delicious food, friendlyservice, and an upbeat atmosphere. creative menu items that you will surely love. prices range from $10.00 or less for appetizers and $11.00-$30.00 for entrees. this restaurant offers a private lot for customers. this is a must-try restaurant.

waste of time. assumed the negative reviews left here were the result of simply a bad night. however, i will never return to the bob. our group of 3 started a small bachelorette party here this saturday (may 15th). the inside of the restarutant was closed for a private party. the patio area was full. the management offered us a table out front, which was fine with us. we paid the $5 cover for the band slated to play. our drinks arrived promptly, and that's when it went down hill. we waited another good half an hour to order dinner, not once did our waitress come to check on us. after waiting another solid 40 minutes for our food, half of the order arrived, brought out by a runner.

my friend, who ordered the crab special, which was being cooked on the patio on a grill, waited yet another half an hour to receive her food, to which our waitress blamed on tickets being printed in the kitchen, and not out front (i ask, did everyone who ordered the special that night wait well over an hour for their entree?). they made no attempt to knock anything off the bill or offer us even an appetizer as she waited.

finally, after dinner and a few more drinks, another friend joined us. sitting out front, it took over half an hour to receive the beer she ordered. we decided we'd had enough and would just like the check. we asked our waitress to bring it. it was another twenty minutes before she had come back to take the card from us and run it. we then asked her if it would be possible to receive back the $5 cover we had each paid because, when we were seated out front, we were informed if we were only staying for dinner out front, we did not need to pay the cover. however, at that point, we had planned on staying. when the manager came out front, she tried to hassle us about receiving the $15 back.

i demanded my money out of principle (at 10 o'clock, no band had begun to play) and considered insisting she comp the crab that took so long to receive i figured it must have been blown in fresh from alaska after it was ordered. however, i let it go because i could tell she was not at all interested in our satisfaction with her establishment.

not only did they ruin the first part of my evening, they charged an a rathy pricey meal that was marginal at best. they also ran out four attractive young women from their bar on a saturday night. anyone in the restaurant business knows this is a bad move for revenue.

we went across the street to beale on broadway where the staff was friendly and accomodating, the music was phenominal, and we had a great time without spending a huge ton of cash. shame on your, bob. you really let us down and cost yourselves a lot of money. we would have been happy to spend a few hundred dollars at your bar had you treated us well. quite easily the worstservicei have ever received.

the place is jammed! music is great - live. staff seems pretty engaged. fun for a loud and very active experience. i sat on the enclosed patio, at the bar.serviceand dining worked great from that vantage point - the only one i could find without waiting for a table. a caesar salad came chilled with an excellent dressing. other food, despite a fair amount of deep fried items was delicious.
owner - you're busy i know, but please find a way to clean up the bathrooms.... even if certain customers don't care. ok?
thanks for a perfectly fine experience.

broadway oyster bar, it was a pretty good experience. i remember coming to the broadway oyster bar many years ago, so i had to give it an elite yelper's try.

i really enjoyed the experience, the food was good the best thing that i can remember is the seafood bisque. i never cared for the alligator cheesecake, it was really too salty for me. i did enjoy the seafood bisque soup that was delicious and enjoyed the lobster poor boy it was different, however, it was not full of flavors as i had hope it would be. i enjoyed it nonetheless!

if i went again i would definitely try something different other than the aligator cheesecake and the lobster poor boy. the seafood bisque which was really good came with pita bread and it was awesome.

when you arrive you're gonna have to find you a parking spot. they have about 12 parking spots in the back at best. they do havr parking meters on the street so you can park at one of those meters.

i do know that they are planning to expand so that's a good thing and hopefully the parking will expand also.

the customerservicewas pretty good, you arr going to have a wait to get your food, as theservicewas a little on the slow side but i can deal with that and i try to be patient. the prices are moderate and the food was good.

i want to give it 3.5 stars, since that is not possible i'm giving them 3 stars and the reasons why i can is slowserviceand an alligator cheesecake was really salty and lobster poor boy did not have a lot of flavor to it. i love that nice butter flavor when i eat lobster and it has a sweet taste and light texture. that just wasn't there in this sandwhich.

legendary ambience - good food. the broadway oyster bar is a pretty legendary hangout after cardinal games, just as well known for their patio and live music as they are for their food. i hadn't been here for either in probably ten years or so, but i know i've recommended it to tourists and friends probably 50 times. so i may not be a loyal customer, but i'm definitely a fan. stopping by for lunch the other day, i remembered why i'm a fan. the food is pretty good, theserviceis fine, but it's the ambience that brings people back. dusty old jazz posters, a rusty street sign here, a bike hanging on the wall. okay, it sounds kind of like applebee's or fridays, these days, but the addition of graffiti here and there, a bit of schlocky artwork and the dusty patina make it stand out as an original. the doors and steps are creaky, there are wires hanging down from the ceiling. the place has character and it just makes you want to have some fun.

we had a dozen peel n eat shrimp, a bowl of crab bisque, a bronzed snapper po'boy and some chicken tenders for the little one. yes, it's okay to bring kids here for lunch, no question. not sure it'd be the best place for them on a saturday night, and there's no kids menu, but it's fine. the shrimp were the stand-out - i can't remember the last time i've had shrimp this big, and the dipping sauce was awesome. the snapper was a pretty good sandwich. in case you're wondering, bronzed is kind of like blackened, just not black. prices are about what you'd expect from a place that has a good tourist crowd - a little high, but not ridiculous.

a band was getting set up to play at 2 on saturday afternoon. for the winter months., there is a tent up outside. if you're looking for a great place to bring an out of town visitor or just have a cold beer and catch some live music, b.o.b. is the answer. i'll keep sending people their way, because in st. louis, this is one place you can count on - it's the real deal.

awesome!!!. my husband and i went for the 1st time 2/15/2012. omg!! this is my new favorite place of all time. the alligator, shrimp cheescake was to die for. yeah, i know it sounds weird but trust me you won't want another kind of cheese dip after eating this. it's a slice of heaven! the alligator bites, awesome! fried oysters on the half shell!!! my husband also had the fish tacos with red beans and rice. omg!! i had the sampler because i just couldn't chose one thing and trust me, it was enough to feed 3 people. my husband helped me eat it and we still had a large take home box. there was nothing i didn't like as a seafood, cajun food lover. the customerservicewas teriffic!! love the music! i highly recommend this place.
parking can be a challenge on a busy day. but i'd walk to get to this place.

its ok and over priced. 5 of us went here with high hopes and found that we dont know how people love this place's food so much. all in all it was a good night and we had fun but the food was just ok. snow crab was ok and 20$. jambalaya was just rice with a few shrimp. fish tacos were ok. oysters on the half shell were very small and just ok. bread pudding was good. gooey butter cookies were store bought and heated up...servicewas awesome and the place was very cool. nothing was stand out wow and the prices were a little too high for what you got
