previously great but custom.... previously great
but customer $$ rape going on

coffee and 2 fresh bagels $15

puhlease.... it's toasting and a smear of butter

think brew baker think... it's toast and a smear of butter
treat your customers like devotees not just money bags

-----09 may, 2015-----

dubious about the hype dubi.... dubious about the hype
dubious with a line up

worthy worthy worthy
coffee silky perfection latte
sausage roll the worlds second best... the best is halfway between mackay and rocky in a road house

walnut and date bagel--- woah

it's well earnt the reputation

though not aplacefor a leisurely brunch... but an amazing pittstop bakery coffee joint

well done

i had brunch here today and while my avo on sourdough was enjoyable i found that my forgotten coffee let me down. theplacewas incredibly busy and i agree with a previous poster on the chocolate brownie. absolutely delicious.

moved to this area 7 months ago and i always opt to drive all the way to flour n chocolate in morningside or chouquette in new farm whenever i crave for good artisan pastry. however yesterday i decided to give thisplacea try. it’s got a different style however i wasn’t disappointed at all. it still can’t beat fnc/chouqette but it saves me from the traffic hassle. it is a bit pricey though. had feta and tomato quiche, raspberry financier, and salmon bagel. i guess i’m lucky because all tasted really delicious. still curious about their sourdough doughnuts. will come back very soon. maybe tomorrow 😍. second visit: parmesan bagel and cheese, onion, and poppy seeds bagel. winner: still the salmon bagel from 2 days ago. sourdough mini doughnuts: winner: raspberry jam doughnut! the jam is so fresh and natural. i didn’t really like the chocolate doughnut. cappuccino: ok not so special but not bad. service: great and friendly :)

oh why so mean?? i wanted to love this place, a working bakery cafe, but i have found the customer experience so poor i just can't go back. the women who own or manage thisplaceare so snappy. it's got to the point where i just don't want to go anymore, i get my fresh bread on the weekend from the northey street markets now. please be more friendly to your customers, we are giving you money!!

aside from not wanting to go there again for customer experience reasons, the coffee is good and quick, but i find the
baked goods too expensive.

very european. simple uninspiring decor and a bit of a difficult location but ohhh the food.
i can't go past thisplacewhen i am visiting brisbane. i even go out of my way to make sure i can get a feed here.
coffee is great but the freshly baked breads and pastries are awesome.
probably not good for my wasteline!

amazing pastry.

i ordered a sausage roll and chocolate brownie. they both are simply divine. the pastry of the roll was amazingly flaky and buttery. the mince was juicy and moist with a great texture. the chocolate brownie was slightly crunchy on the outside and gluey inside. i couldn't stop eating it. theplaceis definitely worth getting fat for.

thisplaceis amazing for their sweets, bread and coffee but their actual breakfast menu is way overpriced for what you get in quality and quantity. overall this is just a greatplaceto come for the bakery goods and i'm finding myself craving the yummies from here more often than not

prices have gone up although it's getting much busier. have been going to this local gem for about 7 years now off and on. it can be hard to have a wander up the road on a saturday morning anymore and be guaranteed a breezy table but good to know their business is increasing as it is a fantastic bakery with lovely staff. that said, i can't imagine why we're still paying almost $7 for a loaf of bread and the almond croissants (and many other sweets) have increased quite a lot. bacon and egg roll's don't seem to be made fresh anymore and now they have a bitter relish in them.
all in all, still a greatplaceto go. is getting a little too crowded though and when that happens, sweet delicious espresso around the corner is pretty nice.
