best breakfast. when my family was in town, a group of 6 of us went to have breakfast here for the first time. we had to wait for about 25 minutes, but it was well worth the wait.

thefoodwas amazing. my step dad made the comment, "this is the best breakfast i have ever had!"

although thefoodwas amazing, fresh, and delicious, the prices were a little steep. our breakfast cost more than lunch and dinner did the day before. for 6 of us, the tab was 75$.

if you are willing to wait and pay a decent amount for amazing food, this is the place to go!

noisy, cramped, unfriendly service. we have been to break'n eggs on several occasions and it is certainly busy every time we've been. thefoodis quite good, though the crepes are rather dry to my taste. the last time we went there, the server was unfriendly - almost rude. we were so close to the next table that we had to be careful not to bump elbows. it was so noisy that we had difficulty carrying out a conversation. i doubt that i will go back.

exquisite upscale breakfast! delicieux!!. i live in toronto and was passing through. delighted to have found this spot.foodwas executed with perfection with the freshest ingredients and absolutely delicious. eggs benedict were perfectly prepared with a beautiful buttery hollandaise with just the right hint of cayenne. canadian bacon was top-notch. even the complementary fruit medley that accompanied my plate was spot on and included fresh raspberries and blueberries.. they clearly don't skimp on ingredients. the dessert crepe was light and fluffy and divine with a honey butter and a garnish of fresh mint. exquisite. this is a true gem of a creperie. upscale fare for very good prices. friendly and attentive staff, and lovely owners. merci beacoup! delicieux!

the "regular" spot with extraordinary breakfast. cozy. quaint. cute. these are a few of the adjectives that would come to mind when arriving for the first time at this smaller establishment. a perfect size for a small family, couple or small business meeting. a larger party may have problems accommodating the size of the establishment, but what they lack in size, they sure make up for in service, foodquality, originality and taste. please read on.

my near 4 year old daughter and i have become regulars here since it has opened. we come every friday morning before she goes to school. just her and i for breakfast. a little bonding time if you may. the service has always been prompt, courteous and very friendly. we almost feel like we are part of their family at times. it’s truly excellent!

my daughter is creature of habit unfortunately. she orders the exact same thing every friday. a cut up apple, bacon and an orange juice and an occasional toast excursion. needless to say, she enjoys breakfast just about everywhere; however she loves this place and allow me to elaborate. one week a few weeks ago, the owner and head chef came out with afoodart version of a swan made out of an apple at random for her to marvel over. she was elated and i was pleasantly surprised by the gesture. he said he had just learned the technique and wanted to show it off to her. remind you, my near 4 year old. a complete stranger for the most part. an excellent, small gesture that sure went a long way on impression to her.

i, on the other hand, am the more difficult to please. a menu explorer and eager to be “wowed”, but seldom am at few establishments i have gone to. break’n eggs, has accomplished the “wow” factor for myself and my immediate family & friends.

i have had several dishes there for breakfast over time, but have come to absolutely love their benedict plates. they offer their eggs benedict in a few fashions including traditional, on a crepe, with spinach and with salmon. now, let me tell you that the breakfast is truly worth every cent. there is a short mountain of fresh fruit that is served with it. the poached eggs are typically spot on and not overdone or underdone. furthermore, let me tell you that the salmon benedict is truly a unique one. it’s not like traditional lox or anything, but a true cut of salmon you would expect to receive at a seafood place. it’s uniquely smoked flavor compliments awesomely with their homemade hollandaise sauce. the entire dish is also accompanied by some excellent skilled fried potatoes. truly a filling and complete meal!

lastly, allow me to say their coffee is excellent. they need to sell it in ground packages. it’s light, but not too light, balanced and not too bitter. a perfect balance in my opinion.

in conclusion, i will say that i am very satisfied with all of my experience with this eatery and would recommend anyone there if you are in the vicinity. the only thing that comes to mind when i think of this place, it heart and soul. you can tell that the management puts forth effort, their heart and soul into making every dish that comes out of that kitchen. hands down, best breakfast in amherst. see for yourself.

one satisfied regular here.

nice server, terriblefood, weird managment. just stopped in to try breakfast on a busy saturday morning, granted we didn't make a reservation for breakfast, we waited half an hour to get sat down. by no means a problem but for this small creperie (maybe only 40 seats) kinda strange. the restaurant was busy which is usually a good sign that people like thefoodor at least want to try it. while waiting i asked another guest " is this a new place?" he replied " fairly new, around 8 months old." other guests leaving the door after their meal were all saying "it's worth the wait"so in my mind i'm thinking that this place is busy after 8 months with a line out the door and raving guests must be good . this is my first review of any restaurant ever but thefoodwas so bad i had to write about it. so after the wait we sat down to a small table in the corner, ( not bad at all, i'm an avid diner in numerous restaurants and generally don't mind where we eat) but it was a tad cramped and i told the family of three behind me to tell me if i should move my chair if they needed the space, this was the same gentleman i asked at the door about the place. after ordering our drinks, 2 coffees , espresso and grapefruit juice no problems then they were served the coffee was bland and not something you would expect for a breakfast place. the espresso obviously came out of a stovetop pot with coffee grounds lining the mug. the espresso was luke-warm and sour , on a positive note the pink grapefruit juice was nice but not hard to get right. we then ordered their flagship breakfast crepe with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese, my babe added spinach to the dish. i ordered the smoked salmon crepe benedict with "silver dollar crepes, smoked salmon, capers, red onion, and hollandaise .disclaimer: i love hollandaise sauce, i always want to order it but in far too many restaurants around wny can't get it right. i asked our server " how is the hollandaise here?" she replied "very good, i love putting it on my potatoes" in my mind i'm excited , if the servers are excited about thefoodthen it's usually good . ourfoodcame out fast, maybe 15 minutes after we ordered. it's an open kitchen most likely designed for a fast paced service with a good looking, clean, chef at the helm. these are all good signs that would reflect good breakfast food. i couldn't be more wrong, to start our plates came out , everything was not hot or even warm! the potatoes that accompanied thefoodwere seasoned well but thats the best part. my babe's breakfast crepe was massive cold "hot pocket" looking thing with cut up jimmy dean sausage links and frozen spinach and scrambled brown eggs , they must pre-make the crepes( not a problem, considering the place was packed) but make sure they are at least warm and frozen spinach? c'mon thats just terrible, i mean how hard is it to throw a handful of baby spinach into some eggs while they are cooking? the salmon benedict was a joke, smoked salmon scraps, knarly cut onions, 6 capers lol, and some yellow goo that they called hollandaise, it was so bad , "broken" and cold . i almost forgot to mention the rotten blueberries on the side of our plates we had 3 bites of each dish and told our server we were done. she then told the manager about the situation , lucky us , she took off a whooping 10% for the combined six bites we had of our breakfast, and then told us that they were uncommonly busy so thefooddidn't get to us as fast as usual. ha! i felt bad for everyone else waiting for garbage. our bill was $33.05 after our "discount" thanks but we won't be coming back and your microgreen garnish isn't going to mask your attempt at serving crepes or breakfast for that matter

a jewel in williamsville!. words cannot describe how grateful i am to the sweeney family for opening up this restaurant! i am not originally from buffalo, and in the 20+ months that i have lived here, my husband and i have tried almost every restaurant in williamsville. most of which have left us disappointed, and quite frankly, angry. main st. in the village needed a great brunch spot, and boy does break'n eggs deliver!

i have now eaten there 4 or 5 times, tried a different menu item each and every time, and loved every single dish. everything is executed with perfection, tastes fresh, looks beautiful on the plate, and leaves me feeling happier than when i walked in. i'm not kidding, thisfoodwill change your mood!

my husband came with me for the first time today, and he said that it was the best breakfastfoodhe has ever had (he had an omelet with a side of roasted potatoes and fresh fruit). the potatoes were cooked and seasoned just right and the omelet was fluffy. i got the dulce de leche crepe, which is filled with sauted granny smith apples, candied walnuts, and topped with caramel sauce and whipped cream. heaven!

i have to end with the added bonus that the staff is friendly and warm. they made me feel very welcome despite the very large crowd of people eating there, which could have easily caused them to rush us and act flustered.

thanks for such great service and such delicious food!

deliciousfood- service has room for improvement. this is a cozy restaurant where you can see the chefs cooking. i ordered the eggs florentine with hollandaise and my husband had the french toast. both dishes were delicious, and served with real fresh fruit. our waitress checked how thefoodwas when we first got it and didn't come back again until we had to flag her down to asked her for the bill. only at this point did she offer to refill my water (which had been empty for 20 min). we also witnessed her greet new guests with a mouth so full offoodshe couldn't speak properly. i would go back for the food, but would recommend the owners work on the customer service.

great food!!!. i was reading the comments by some folks who had to wait. i always thought if people were waiting, thefoodmust be good! i have eaten several times in this brand new, one of a kind place and just loved it! it is small and has many tables for just two, but i have seen the staff moving tables all around to try to seat groups of all sizes. they are very friendly, warm, and, welcoming as well. they are also very knowledgeable about the menu too. i have had to wait sometimes, but when i did it was very well worth it!

great new option!!. i just love this new creperie! nothing else like it in the area! it has a nice look and feel and when you walk in the smell won't let you leave, we has to wait a bit, but did not mind as we were able to watch the chef from the doorway. the "kitchen" is out in the open. it reminded me of france where you can often watch your crepes being made. and thefoodwas great! best hollandase ever!! i will be back often! the service was also very good ! i liked having the coffee pot left at the table and the fresh flowers were a nice touch as well.
