breakfast at tiffiny's

nice rework. about 1/2 step removed from maggie's, but a fair bit better. the interior has been reworked and cleaned up quite a bit, the service improved dramatically with my server keeping the coffee and water coming throughout, and thefoodimproved as well. although i was tempted to get the stew (which remains on the menu as a nod to its predecessor), my tri-fold western omelet and potatoes were cooked perfectly and tasted great together. if i had one complaint it would be that the cheese blend used in the omelet tasted a little like american cheese for some reason (which i can't stand on omelets), so that was a bit off-putting, but should be easily solved next time by requesting cheddar. breakfast at tiffiny's is a nice addition to the other regular breakfast joints it town. for me, it's not on par with uncle ernie's or crow's nest or even larue's, but it's a solid contender in that second tier with east egg and its ilk. i'll be back.

if your looking to have a 2+ hour breakfast this is your place. wait 30 min for table, wait 10 minutes for waiter to address us, then told its a 45 min ticket wait time. how long does it take to cook a damn egg or pancake, come on! dave ramsey needs to visit stat!!! they might have goodfoodbut walked out after being disgusted by service and wait time!!!

picked the blt and strawberry lemonade. sides were french fries and fruit salad. service was good,foodwas good, wishing i ordered another lemonade to go because it was fantastic. i will be back!

tbird. 3 of us visited the portage store location. the service was wonderful and warm. the owner did stop by the table to check that everything was good and that we were happy. thefoodwe had was wonderful and full of flavor and i am very picky. we asked for a couple of special things and we were completely accommodated without blinking an eye. i'm sorry but if you are going to visit a restaurant right after they open you should expect that some customers are going to experience a hiccup here or there, that is the reality of life. i have a feeling they will out grow this location before long.

worst service ever. this post is for their new restaurant ion portage, as i could not find a site to review them any were else, it is under the same ownership however, my wife and myself were their today and after waiting for 15 min to get a table for two we then waited even longer once seated just to be noticed, during this time other people that came after us not only were seated but had coffee and were able to place their order, finally we were able to order after another 15 min of waiting. 45 minutes later we still had not received ourfoodalthough the people that were in after us were enjoying theirs, the waiter saw that we had not received ourfoodand by the looks of things they had competently forgotten us. i will never go back, even though the owner as we found out was their she made no attempt to come over or to apologize. needless to say we went without breakfast today as we left i suggest that you go any were else besides tiffanys

over the past few months this restaurant has gone down hill. owner and management are too distracted by new restaurant opening they aren't making the one they have work! everytime i go in there they have a new waitstaff and cooks.foodis constantly different. this place is so inconsistent. i'll be going across the street

downward spiral. i have been to tiffany's multiple times and each time the service has gotten worse, today was the final straw. took my parents here this morning for an easy easter breakfast. our waitress was inattentive and as the place was empty, you would think she would be able to have a long enough attention span to refill a pop or bring a box after being asked twice. while this was annoying, we also got to hear the gossipy chatter comparable to a bunch of sorority girls from the other waitresses sitting around bored. their singing and dancing was comparable to an attention hungry preschooler and their endless efforts to openly hit on the males attempting to pick up theirfoodwas disgusting. apparently the cooks felt fed up too, as they came out and told the girls that if they were this slow, they could at least help clean off the plates.

horribly bland and overrated. i used to think maggies was bad, it was dirty and the staff sucked but the new mangers owners whatever are trying to pass this off as this great place thefoodwas bland and cold service horrible i guess i will stick to mcds till i graduate the stew might have the same recipe but sadly something was missing because it was far from ...wait for it... legondary....

nice surprise. had breakfast there with my family - we've never been there before, and i was pleasantly surprised. the restaurant was very clean and looked like it may have been recently remodeled. thefoodwas good - especially the bread & cinnamon roll - excellent! the waitress was attentive and kept our coffee filled, and we got ourfoodvery quickly. prices are very reasonable. i liked the homey atmosphere, and that the owner stopped by to chat for a minute as well. we'll definitely come back.

never again. called in an order to go was told 15 minutes, ok i get there i cant find a single person that works there, cook or server for about 5 minutes, finally get myfoodbiscuits and gravy and bacon, it looked like somebody already ate it the buscuits were hard and the gravy had that solid bottom of the pan look, if that wasnt bad enough my bacon was raw, not undercooked but raw, i threw it all away it was not edible.

one or two awful staff. thefoodis pretty good. like a local diner which is what i like. but the only real problem is some of the staff. the take your order, bring yourfoodand then your bill. that's it. if you want more coffee or anything good luck. just have to get up and get it yourself. otherwisefoodis good. would just recommend they hire some new people and get rid of a few.

thefoodis really average. the grits were beyond dry. they were chunky and hard. zack's hash was bland. the highlight is the service. our serverwas fast without looking rushed and always had coffee ready.
