breakfast at tiffiny's

to the other guy that reviewed this: i've been in kalamazoo 4 years and tiffany's is not poorly managed if anything it's well managed. there's a reason "maggie's" isn't around anymore. it's because they didn't manage it well. you're clearly an adult expecting pristine restaurant service in a college town. we students find it perfectly fine. so why don't you take your over opinionated self and find a breakfast place in portage.

nice rework. about 1/2 step removed from maggie's, but a fair bit better. the interior has been reworked and cleaned up quite a bit, the service improved dramatically with my server keeping the coffee and water coming throughout, and the food improved as well. although i was tempted to get the stew (which remains on the menu as a nod to its predecessor), my tri-fold western omelet and potatoes were cooked perfectly and tasted great together. if i had one complaint it would be that the cheese blend used in the omelet tasted a little like american cheese for some reason (which i can't stand on omelets), so that was a bit off-putting, but should be easily solved next time by requesting cheddar. breakfast at tiffiny's is a nice addition to the other regular breakfast joints it town. for me, it's not on par with uncle ernie's or crow's nest or even larue's, but it's a solid contender in that second tier with east egg and its ilk. i'll be back.

great food, great service and an excellent atmosphere. a selection of unique choices along with traditional breakfast options. this will now be one of our favorite breakfast stops.

we had breakfast and it was the best in the area so far ! i also had lunch with a friend and did not have such a good experience - salad was bland and uninteresting and it was so cold inside that we nearly tuned into ice cubes !

if your looking to have a 2+ hour breakfast this is your place. wait 30 min for table, wait 10 minutes for waiter to address us, then told its a 45 min ticket wait time. how long does it take to cook a damn egg or pancake, come on! dave ramsey needs to visit stat!!! they might have good food but walked out after being disgusted by service and wait time!!!

picked the blt and strawberry lemonade. sides were french fries and fruit salad. service was good, food was good, wishing i ordered another lemonade to go because it was fantastic. i will be back!

(my wife) and i liked our last trip to breakfast at tiffiny’s near wmu, but it’s always a little off putting bringing a toddler in to a breakfast plate filled with hungover college kids on a sunday morning. this new location is a great breakfast spot and will really open them up to a whole new client base.

the raspberry french toast is phenomenal. so good i blew my low-carb diet and went back a second time there's enough for three separate breakfast and it has a beautiful presentation. the service is excellent and the owner is darling. the coffee is very good.

my new favorite breakfast place. my husband, son and i went to the new portage location today. great food, great service. my husband's meat lovers omelette was large and very good, and the hash browns that they both had with their meals were great. my son had the big bang and said that it was very good and loved the sausage. i had the legendary stew. it was crazy huge! it could easily have fed 2 people. i ended up taking more than half of it home, as our waitress told me it reheats well. the toast was thick sliced, which i prefer and our coffee cups were never empty. the prices were pretty average for breakfast. most items were in the $7.00 - $8.00 range, with a few options slightly higher or lower. i was impressed with our first time here, and will definitely be back.

tbird. 3 of us visited the portage store location. the service was wonderful and warm. the owner did stop by the table to check that everything was good and that we were happy. the food we had was wonderful and full of flavor and i am very picky. we asked for a couple of special things and we were completely accommodated without blinking an eye. i'm sorry but if you are going to visit a restaurant right after they open you should expect that some customers are going to experience a hiccup here or there, that is the reality of life. i have a feeling they will out grow this location before long.

portage location-3/20/14. excellent food and top notch service. highly recommended

worst service ever. this post is for their new restaurant ion portage, as i could not find a site to review them any were else, it is under the same ownership however, my wife and myself were their today and after waiting for 15 min to get a table for two we then waited even longer once seated just to be noticed, during this time other people that came after us not only were seated but had coffee and were able to place their order, finally we were able to order after another 15 min of waiting. 45 minutes later we still had not received our food although the people that were in after us were enjoying theirs, the waiter saw that we had not received our food and by the looks of things they had competently forgotten us. i will never go back, even though the owner as we found out was their she made no attempt to come over or to apologize. needless to say we went without breakfast today as we left i suggest that you go any were else besides tiffanys

over the past few months this restaurant has gone down hill. owner and management are too distracted by new restaurant opening they aren't making the one they have work! everytime i go in there they have a new waitstaff and cooks. food is constantly different. this place is so inconsistent. i'll be going across the street

downward spiral. i have been to tiffany's multiple times and each time the service has gotten worse, today was the final straw. took my parents here this morning for an easy easter breakfast. our waitress was inattentive and as the place was empty, you would think she would be able to have a long enough attention span to refill a pop or bring a box after being asked twice. while this was annoying, we also got to hear the gossipy chatter comparable to a bunch of sorority girls from the other waitresses sitting around bored. their singing and dancing was comparable to an attention hungry preschooler and their endless efforts to openly hit on the males attempting to pick up their food was disgusting. apparently the cooks felt fed up too, as they came out and told the girls that if they were this slow, they could at least help clean off the plates.

the food is great, i'll give them that

horribly bland and overrated. i used to think maggies was bad, it was dirty and the staff sucked but the new mangers owners whatever are trying to pass this off as this great place the food was bland and cold service horrible i guess i will stick to mcds till i graduate the stew might have the same recipe but sadly something was missing because it was far from ...wait for it... legondary....
