amazing! the braised beef with potato purée was to die for. our party also tried the trout, pork loin, and steak, all of which were wonderful. all four of our desserts were delicious as well! extensive wine menu, good beer selection. great patio seating and wonderful service. highly recommended!

absolutely outstanding. i believe i can not count anylonger how many times i have dined at this gem.great plate selections, superb staff and a magnificent wine selection.sommelier does a great job in keeping new selections coming.hate to go to a place where the wine list is the same ,day in and day out.very good price points through out this menu.
i look forward for the new wines and dinner specials.
i do hope it does not change.

great french no fuss. we finally got in to brasserie! the beer, wine and cocktail list is amazing! i'd go back just to try some of the unusual brews they carry. dinner was nice. we had the chicken liver pate, which was had a very bold liver flavor if you like that. i prefer a "softer" pate with a little more cream but i ate it none the less! the escargot's were a bit overcooked and tough, but the herb butter sauce was nice. salads were fabulous- especially my endive and watercress salad, which came with a slice of french blue and candied walnuts. the selection of blue complimented the sweet walnuts and bitter endive perfectly. he had the lyonnaise which was also very nice. for main course we both had chicken. mine roasted with jus and mushrooms and bread. his "au vin". both dishes were elevated by really nice compliment of the mushrooms and herbs- flavor combinations well thought out. sauces were buttery and rich. ambience was very casual, service was pleasant, staff very well trained, not a fork or a knife ever amiss. we'd go back for sure.

loved it!. went with friends last night and was very impressed! started with the goat chees tart, creamy filling and just right crust. the frissee salad was very enjoyable, anytime a poached egg is on top of a salad it's enjoyable. mussels and frites were cooked to perfection and the garlic aoli was the perfect touch. dessert was heavenly, a floating island of merigue in a rich sauce. don't forget the wonderful cocktail too, a heart's tail that was just the right thing to top off my meal. the only thing to say negative about my experience was the noise level, they do need to address that issue, otherwise a perfect night!

the food is good but not for the price. i had a bib lettuce salad for $10 and braised beef for $27. the beef was succulent but the lardons and carrots were cold. rustic french cuisine is based in cheap cuts prepared to perfection. i have made this dish better at home for $10. i had high hopes for great french cuisine in st louis, this was not.

we love this place so much. great service and great food every time as well as wonderful ambience. the menu is filled with french classics, on the other hand, they don't mind customizing your plate upon your needs. everything is cooked to perfection and very tasty. perfect for either date nights or group gatherings.

things you never expect to hear the chef of a french restaurant say: “you should really see some of the snacks we make with american cheese in the kitchen.” nick blue’s been the executive chef of brasserie for a few years and he is continuously improving it.

i've eaten here 3 times, & this place is certainly my fav non-italian place in stl. sunday brunch was pretty good, w/mostly sweet options. my lemon curd french toast was a little too sweet.
the 2 dinners i've had were unparalleled. the charcuterie app selections are not to be missed. they allow you to experience some real old world european carnivore delicacies w/o approaching any level of grossness or aphrodisiacal potential. the roast chicken w/ mushrooms & french bread is as good as any steak i've ever had. the service is friendly & well-informed. this is particularly true at the bar, where the drinks & the barmen are of the artisanal variety. try anything w/ a french liquer you've never heard of & you'll like it. great streetside dining in a pretty neighborhood in spring/fall.

decided to surprise my mom who was visiting, on mother's day by going out to a very relaxed brunch. from the minute we got here the one thing that stood out was the courteous and extremely polite waitstaff. sure they may have been warned by their shift leaders to be on their best behaviour what with all the elderly women, but i can tell you this, the service was impeccable.
as far as the food goes there were no surprises. it was as expected, a well laid out brunch with multiple options on the bread, proteins and cheese. and they had sangria pitchers too! :p
only reason i've docked a few points off this review is the state of the damn restroom, please get it a little cleaner guys.
9/10 will recommend.

maybe i’m lying to myself when i say i don’t like french food. every time i eat at brasserie by niche (also known as the only french restaurant in st. louis worth a damn), i end up with enough food to choke a horse.
