after my steak, i was pretty much stuffed-to-the-rote (“roh-tey” to use a mom-ism of my dinner date), but we were not going to wimp out on dessert. normally i leap to profiteroles or a tarte tatin – both of which they offer. however, the pot de crème was speaking to me in come hither dulcet tones.

the best in cwe. finally made it to brasserie and my entire experience was awesome! from our wonderful waiter sean, who knew everything about the menu, food, ingredients, tastes, and his recommendations were flawless. the shredded pork croquettes were so flavorful - the juices were locked inside and made the pork burst with tenderness. i had the chicken and it was so much more than chicken - absolutely delicious, and my friend loved the beef entree, which was served with bits of delicious ham and pearl onions. we then had the "floating dessert" recommended by sean. it consisted of meringue and almonds but it was nothing like i'd ever had before. very flavorful and sweet, but not too much. it's a must try. everything about this restuarant was excellent. i can't wait to go back!

will make a trip back to st. louis for niche!. we loved this place. a fellow world-traveler friend sent me a text while we were there saying, "go to niche!" the brasserie niche just happened to be about 5 blocks from our home base, the chase plaza hotel, so we hoofed it over for dinner. we love french food, so were extremely happy to go there. the food was off the charts. had the goat cheese tart, gnocchi, and shared the lavender creme brulee. ***** five stars ***** great drinks, too.

wonderful!. one of the most complete restaurant experiences in the city. without being overly complicated with needless additions to the dishes. simplistic and elegant. professional service and staff. wonderful and talented chef. i will always return to this restaurant when i want to guarantee a satisfying and memorable meal.

frozen frites??. a brasserie which can't do a proper frite? small kitchen space is no excuse for using frozen frites. nothing else matters at this point.

wow, i love this place!. i rarely order chicken when i am out to dinner but their roasted chicken came highly recommended by many. it was fantastic andi love the atmosphere here especially if it's nice enough to sit outside.

i have also been here for brunch and the eggs benedict were amazing. totally worth eating salads the rest of the day and extra time on the treadmill.

great place for dinner. the place was swamped when i went for dinner but i managed to grab a place at the bar. the staff was great and helpful and informed. i had the boeuf bourguignon with mushrooms, onions, bacon and a potato puree. the flavor was rich, delicious and warm. the wine flavor was beautifully distributed throught the meat without overpowering it. for dessert i had the choclate-coffee tart that was just enough to finish me off for the night! great vibe, atmosphere and even better food!

the best!. this place is awesome! the food is just amazing. i have gone to many expensive restaurants here in st. louis, and for some reason they all had very bland food. nothing wows me very much here in st. louis, but this restaurant is a keeper. i will definitely go here again and again. i ordered the chicken (which is usually bland when i order it from other places). it was absolutely delicious! my husband tasted it and could not believe how good it was. he got the steak and loved it. my mother ordered muscles and was also wowed by the awesome bacon and egg salad. finally, a place with awesome food and amazing service! yay!

dinner as it should be!. my date and i had dinner on sat. night. they were busy, but we did not feel rushed. server was outstanding. she knew the food and wine and made great recommendations. we had a wild salmon special, a bibb salad, their own marinated olives, and a selection of cheese. all was perfect.

dependable delicacies.... i have spent many visits in brasserie. just the excitement i have on my way, knowing the wonderful treats that are about to enter my stomach, is more than i can handle. not only is the food impeccable, but the service is the best i've had in st. louis.

the fresh cheese is delightful, the burger is great (especially the pickled onions on top), pate is awesome, drinks are fabulous, every thing i have had is amazing. and don't let me forget the desserts. i have become known as the "honey meringue chip" girl... due to my obsession with their house made honey meringue chips. they are little delicacies that when put in the mouth, melt into a foamy, sweet, heaven-ness. they come with the rhubarb sundae which, honestly, i cannot even explain how awesome it is. and the ice cream is the best i have ever had... thyme ice cream, just classic vanilla, it is all great.

lastly- the staff is impeccable. i always look forward to the bearded bartender and the tall red-haired waitress... they always make my visit even more enjoyable.

thank you gerard, and all who make brasserie (and niche), for setting the bar high so highly for stl restaurants. you add pleasure to my existence.

this is a newer restaurant which i read about in sky mall if you can believe it! i found it relatively easily about 2 blocks from the metrolink station. i liked the atmosphere. think country french comfort food. i ordered the goat cheese tart which was like a wedge of a quiche. as with anything goat cheese i gobbled it right up and it was delicious. it had a nice bit of shaved fennel which went nicely with it. nobody really needs to do much to goat cheese in order for me to eat it though. next was the frisee salad with bacon lardons, poached egg and bacon vinaigrette. very good, i love a good frisee salad. egg and bacon just make it better. next i had the boeuf bourguignon which was plentiful with mushroom, onion, bacon and potato puree. this friends, was a revelation of beef. incredibly tender, flaked with a fork beef with a generous helping of potatoes and the most thick, delicious sauce. impossible not to finish! i loved brasserie by niche, loved the feel and the food. the service w

still good. 3rd time there and still delivering niche quality in a more casual (and cheaper) setting. menu is not nearly as creative and ambitious as as the original niche, but the simplified dishes they offer are very very good. the roasted chicken is not fancy but the flavor is outstanding.the pork special was devoured. the beef bourguignon was a clinic in seasoning. we rolled the dice on the oysters and they were very good, the waiter nailed the description. the rhubarb dessert was yummy. scoop: the house wine (by the carafe) is a bargain!

flawless!. dined here over the weekend and this resturant is perfection. excellent service, food and atmosphere. our server was a female and she was so intuitive to our tables needs. we ordered the pate, snails and a couple other appetizers and each were perfect. the trout for dinner was the best i've ever eaten and is a must for anyone eating here for the first time. after reading a few negative reviews all i can surmise is that they just don't get it. great job brasserie! love the checkered table cloths too! beautiful resturant.
