we went to bramon wine estate over the busy easter weekend. it’s always a good idea. the food was amazing- beware because it’s easy to order too much. they offer various tapa options with salads. the bread that came with everything wasfreshand delicious. the champagne (made on the estate) is also great.

bramon restaurant on bramon wine estate in the graggs serves a selection of mouthwatering, scrumptious tapas style dishes along with their outstanding wines.
i loved the salads and thefreshbread.
what sets them apart is the location in the vineyard. when the weather permits, one can sit right the vineyard among the vines.
friendly and fast service. they accommodated us with our two small dogs on the verandah.
loved it!

what a stunning setting!
we sat amongst the vineyards and sipper on their mcc whilst we enjoyed a little bit of country life
the menu is tapas style and there is a huge variety for everyone.
however there was one thing that completely blew me away- the huge loaf of home made bread that came out, freshfrom the oven and still warm!
we were in heaven adding the home made pesto and chicken liver pate the baked perfection

absolutely incredible experience! we had a table in the vineyard, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. thefreshbread is heavenly, and we ordered the spanish meatballs, watermelon preserve, basil pesto, hummus, camembert with fig and nuts, and baked brie and cranberry. incredibly satisfying meal and a must visit along the garden route!

this is the 2nd time i've been to bramon and both experiences were exceptional. thefreshhot bread out the oven, perfectly paired with an excellent choice of tapas and very good bubbly is hard to beat. a definite must if you're anywhere on the garden route!

definitely one to add to your list of things to do next time you're in the garden route, bramon wines is a family run wine estate with an awesome restaurant (if you book early enough you can get a table in the vineyards, such a cool experience!)

we tried out selection of bramon’s wines, my favourite was the mcc, followed closely by the crags rosé, both wines were crisp andfreshand perfect accompaniments to the food.

the menu at the bramon restaurant is set out to encourage (read: oblige) sharing, which is really my favourite way of eating out – no risk of food envy at all! think pates and dips, salads, cold meats, cheeses and finger food all served with soft, freshbread and washed down with icy wine and you’ve got the idea. we had a couple plates of just about everything on the menu from strawberry and biltong salad to sticky chicken wines and baked camembert – and at the risk of eating myself into a food coma, i had to have it all! it was that good. we finished it off with a lemon sorbet served in a lemon skin – so cute and tasty too.

the prices aren't too bad, just be careful how much food your order, rather start with too little and order more as you go along.

wow! wine, tapas, cheese andfreshbread. what more can one ask for? definitely get a bottle of the crags sauvignon blanc. crisp and refreshing. perfect for a hot day.freshhot crusty bread with sea salt and rosemary. a must is the bree, trout, olive tapenade, kumquat preserve, plassclas cheese. snoek was a bit fishy for my taste, but certainly not enough to dampen anything. we will be back!
