there is nothing bad that i could say about this place. i came down toclevelandlast weekend from toronto to visit family. saturday night we came here. amazing! from the moment we walked in, service was incredible. everyone was so kind and friendly. and not only with my group, but with each other as well. you can tell that the staff really enjoy what they do which is so nice to see! we were a party of six and only had to wait about five minutes for a table. atmosphere is amazing. the acoustics in the space is great. even though it was packed, non of us had to yell to hear each other :) food is to die for. so much flavour, not at all greasy. i recommend ordering a po boy! don't be scared haha! my uncle got the oyster one. i was so jealous! craft beer selection changes throughout the year. but they also offered the standard beers too :) wish i lived closer so i could visit weekly! highly recommend.

well done, as in attention to detail. i liked everything about this spot. the staff was well versed and accommodating. the bartenders know their craft and take pride in their drinks. although i was in cocktail mode (the sazerac was superb) i checked out their beer selection. the beer list is not as deep as you'd find at a tap room they make up for it having by a varied and interesting selection of ones you don't see elsewhere.

our food was great. our group all agreed they were the best oysters we'd had inclevelandin a long time. my jambalaya was delicious as was the shrimp and grits ordered by my friends. the place has a good vibe and the prices reasonable. i hadn't had cajun inclevelandsince the closing of fat fish blue a couple years ago and am glad it's back and well done.

great food and atmosphere. i have followed chef john's food truck for over 2 years and could not wait for this place to open. we went toclevelandfor the playhouse square tree lighting ceremony and decided to stop in for dinner. there was about a 30 minute wait but well worth it. as soon as you walk in the decor and the atmosphere makes you feel like you stepped into a restaurant in new orleans. we got the gulf shrimp cocktail and the sampler for starter. for dinners we ordered jean lafitte, the louisiana crawfish etouffee and the new orleans bbq shrimp and grits.....they were all fantastic dishes and the flavors were spot on, the only negative i could say is there wasn't enough of it....need just a little bit more on the plate lol we live an hour away and we will be back again for sure!!!!!!

know the chef.. i know chef john schulze personally from his time in louisiana and can assure the fine people ofclevelandthat he indeed the "real thing". i am myself a 3rd generation cajun. he cooks like we all do down here.

thumbs up for bourbon street. cajun food may or may not be your favorite food even though the food is excellent. but you will come back because there no bar/restaurant inclevelandthat has the design, the ambiance, and the attention to detail that "the bourbon street barrel room" offers. you will have a totally "social" expeerience whether you come for dinner or for a drink at 11:00pm. you will understand what i mean by "social" as soon as you walk thru the front door.

spectacular place. the decor and atmosphere is vibrant and authentic. and soon as you step in you feel relaxed and ready to have fun. the cocktails are tasty and old school selections. i recommend the vieux carre if you like whiskey and cognac. i also tried a few of the hoppy craft beers on tap. they have a great selection that seems to change often.
the food is great and i am bias because i like cajun/creole type food. the shrimp is flavorful and fresh. the frog legs are delicious. i have been there several times and i always try the gumbo which is delicous.
you must try this place whether to have a bite or just have a few cocktails as it is a great place to relax and enjoy. it is also great people watching as the upstairs has beautiful railings all around that looks down on to the first level. also great seating that wraps around the front door right by the street. will be great spots in the summer as i was told the windows open to allow fresh air.
the detail of this place is something to appreciate. also can't wait for the summer as they have a great patio out back.
highly recommend that you enjoy this new great spot inclevelandand get a taste of the big easy.
