awesome !!!!!!!. went there today for the first time. sundays they have auce crab legs, wings, ff, and soup. we decided to dine at the pool bar. got our drinks and ordered. we then decided to sit at a table. we had barely sat down and they brought our soup. barely got done with the soup and the rest of our stuff came. food was outstanding and staff was very personable and tentative. actually got to speak with the owner and told him how much we enjoyed it. during the conversation we mentioned how nice everyone was. he mentioned that they had staff issues in the past but are happy with the staff they have now. so, maybe that explains some of the past reviews. or maybe some of the bad reviews are from rival restaurant owners ? i would definately recommend it to my friends, because i know i will definately be dinning there in the future.

i worked at the restaurant as a server for about a year, and the owner, chuck messersmith, was an absolute creep. he constantly tried to use his position as my boss to get me to sleep with him and he did this with all the attractive girls working there. we are 20+ years apart in age, his son is almost my age! he would say inappropriate things to me and touch me awkwardly, it was a nightmare.

when he finally realized that i was not going to give in to his advances, he made my life hell. he was rude to me and would intentionally schedule me on days i told him that i had class. after a few weeks of that treatment, i quit. i won't be back in there ever because i don't support misogynistic perverts!

l'ouverture 2 soirs dans la semaine ( jeudi et vendredi) depuis qq semaines, m'a permis de découvrir ce super resto. j'ai été enchantée par tous ces produits d'excellente qualité et très bien cuisinés, le tout pour un prix correct. le personnel est simple, serviable et met à l'aise. la terrasse est très agréable, surtout le soir.
j'y suis allée 3 fois en une semaine et l'été n'est pas fini!

should be in bar rescue. should have walked out the moment we walked in. dark and slightly grimy. there was no one at the hostess stand for about 10 min. that could be forgivable but the food was horrendous. we ordered 2 steaks medium, the rib special, and the jambalaya. the steaks were like hockey pucks. they were returned to the kitchen and came back 15 min later completely rare, which seemed intentional. the steaks came back for the third time close enough. but it was the same steak that we had to test ourselves for doneness. even once cooked medium the quality of the meat was poor. the rib special was mushy and either microwaved or had been sitting in a steamer for way too long. the jambalaya was edible but nothing special. we got there around 7 and were told the band wouldn't start playing until 930. but around 730 they started doing sound checks which were unbelievable. don't get me wrong, i love live music. but this was 30 minutes of blasting, thumping drums. between the food, the unclean feeling, and the music, we won't be back and will be telling everyone to avoid it.

bourbon bar &grill. excellent food preparation and selection, ably served to our three generation family, one with special dietary needs.
shannon was our waitress and handled all questions and requests with aplomb.

great food at great prices. i have now been to a taste of bourbon twice. we tried the fried alligator bites, killer...my bf tried the jazz steamer pot and wow. lot's of shrimp, crab legs, sausage & potatoes. i had the special, ribs and crabcake, it was awesome! we will def. go back again.

great place to eat and get a drink.
i have been there a few times now. the wings are some of the best i have ever had and the gator bites are really good as well. so far everything i have had to eat has been also and they have always had a great drink selection to wash it down with. the service is always fast and attentive even when the dinning room is full, and. i have gone with large groups before and they always acomidate us quickly.

great food. the food was. amazing & the prices are reasonable. our server, sierra, was very pleasant & courteous. i will go back for more meals & will recommend the place to my friends.

great place with unique atmosphere. i have been to taste of bourbon three times since the re-opening in january of 2014. what a difference. awesome food with cheap prices, but not "cheap" food. my son now calls this his "joint". i had to take my parents just so they could taste the food! we love getting the alligator bites and you can't beat a an overflowing crab dip bread bowl for 9 bucks. i would rival this place with the atland house's underside pub as far as food quality, but not in price. you'll pay half. if you are going to get wings, go with the house's bourbon bbq sauce or buffalo as your choices. the other flavors are a little lacking flavor wise. but those drinks though- they are so good; my favorites are their strong yet somehow refreshing long island and the kattywompkiss. just a tip, if you are going to order a southern inspired dish at this place, make sure you order it on the mild side, that is, if you don't love a really strong spicy kick. a taste of bourbon has everything from great appetizers to seafood and sausage steampots, from crabcake topped burgers to alligator stew, so it's a family family place we're pretty much anyone can get something they are looking for. also, ask to sit in the dining room, the atmosphere for larger parties on the bar side is sort of lacking in ambiance compared to the mardi gras themed dining room which is just lovely.

best kept secret. my husband and i think this is the best kept secret in hanover. the food is very tasty, friendly staff with good service. the ayce crab legs and wings is a great value. we were stuffed!

my new favorite place. i finally found a good restaurant in hanover. very friendly, efficient service, bringing great food at a very reasonable price in an overwhelming atmosphere. what else could you want? *****great

great place. we eat here a couple times a month and always a pleasant experience. super friendly wait staff. we absolutely love the fried alligator! the gumbo, crab legs, wings, burgers, all fantastic! especially love their flavored teas.

great food...great service. we have dined at bourbon several times and each time we make it a point to try something new. the alligator strips are one of my favorites. all of the dishes that we've tried have been delicious and if you like wings this is the place to go. the friendly staff (megan b & ashley) make for a pleasurable experience. they have always been very attentive to our needs. the atmosphere is casual and laid back. the pricing is comparable to the "chain" restaurants but the experience is unique.

you've gotta try it. love wings on wednesdays! also love our regular server shannon. she is awesome.she has been putting up with us(my husband's sense of humor) for months now. tonight she introduced us to the new menu and we strayed from our usual wings. our dinner was amazing!
