an amazing birthday dinner. my family gathered to eat at boulevardier for my birthday and we had an incredible experience. i would like to mention that our server fabian was patient and very knowledgable about themenu(and we just happened to have the same birthday). i started my meal with the escargot and roasted bone marrow. i'm familiar with escargot and enjoy cooking them at home, but these were like none i'd ever had. they almost had a thai-inspired flavor in a creamy ginger sauce.... so yummy! but needed a little salt in my opinion. the roasted bone marrow was new for me, but equally delicious and the onion marmalade that came with the dish was the perfect pairing. after such a great start to a meal i was definately not shy to tasting everyone elses dish in addition to my own :) i had the boullabaise which was full of perfectly cooked seafood in the most delicious saffron/lobster broth. i would definately order it again. i also got to try the gnocci entree, steak frites, crawfish beignets, and the idaho trout. every dish was extraordinary, but one dish stood above all the others for me. the lambs neck daube was out of this world. it was like everything i love about a home-style roast, but elevated. the meat was so tender and was surrounded by the well-seasoned perfectly roasted outside. even the honey glazed carrots that accompanied the dish were simply put, perfection! i cannot wait to go back and keep trying the wonderful food on the boulevardier menu.
