had a great experience. my girlfriend and i where in vegas to celebrate many things... decided to stop in here with a rez at 9pm. sat at the bar and had a drink or two while our table was prepared, i was surprised they had, as a kentucky boy, a bottle of willet rye single barrel. we moved to our table and where promptly greeted with the whole scene feeling relaxed and professional. cheese plate and crab legs where served which where fantastic... the sommelier came by to answer a few questions and was exact in his knowledge of the two bottles i needed described. i think he was delighted to have someone ask his opinion in the touristy and sometimes under informed las vegas crowd because he brought over a glass of italian red for me to sample along with the bordeaux i had ordered. management was superb with the very minor hitches we had. i needed a steak in my life and i ordered the special strip, which was juicy and had a ton of flavor. my girlfriend equally loved her meal as well. i was offered a tour of the kitchen as the very personable staff and i talked about how i ran my own restaurant in lexington ky during the dinner. as it is known, things happen in vegas at an incredible pace but they where ultra accommodating in nearly every way. also, that fast paced vegas scene has left me with no names to remember haha. thanks to our one armed server who ever you where, the tip was reflected in your ability to endure :) the fellow who showed me around the place ( aaron?)...it was a clean and professional kitchen staff with some of the best looking equipment and tools i have ever seen! even at the end of the night when most cooks and chefs would be hating on someone coming through at clean up, they where very friendly and courteous. mr. keller should be proud .. it ain't easy to make it in this biz and i will recommend this place and dine here anytime im in town again. cheers , from the bluegrass!

our server recommended the salmon rillette, and he did not lead us astray. rich, flavorful, but refreshing and complex. it may be the single best thing we had on our trip to vegas. the croque madame was good, as were the truffled fries. nothing spectacular, but certainly good. the lamb with beams was unfortunately not. it had a sour background flavor like bad wine, and the beans were undercooked. not creamy and decadent like flagiolis should be. i am not sure we would visit again.

the portion for the food that we ordered was big and satisfying. our water and coffee mug were always filled. when we were done and asked for the bill, our server was very kind and asked us if we would like two coffees for to-go. i was wowed by the service and how far they were willing to do to go beyond for the customers. our total came to $84 after tax, and i told my boyfriend "this is the most expensive brunch i've ever had in my life." don't get me wrong. i totally enjoyed the place, had a fantastic dining experience there and cannot wait to go back to try out their sourdough waffles.

in a nutshell: thomas keller’s bistro outpost in a tower of las vegas’ venetian epitomizes classic french fare and comfortable luxury. be our guest, be our guest, put our service to the test. i still remember the anticipation that filled me when i approached las vegas’ branch of thomas keller’s bouchon for the first time. he and his brother joseph opened the first location of bouchon in yountville in 1998, subsequently opening the las vegas location (tucked away on the 10th floor of the venetian resort, hotel, and casino) in 2004 (happy ten year anniversary!) and the beverly hills location in 2009. the dining area looks out to the rooftop garden. bouchon is based on keller’s “memories of the amazing bistros [he] would frequent while traveling in france, such as chez paul and hugon, where they serve meals almost family-style in very small dining rooms. oftentimes the husband cooks and the wife greets and serves. first courses, headcheese, or a charcuterie plate may be passed from table

typical bistro fare. tiled floor, high ceilings, fan palms -- all very reminiscent of bistro design. the same with the food -- cheese platters, frites, beet salads, steak, shell fish appetizers. we were there for thanksgiving and the turkey was excellent -- slices of white meat accompanied by a succulent confit of dark meat, a small tureen of dense, rich turkey gravy and a mini-ramkin of cranberry relish. the butternut squash soup -- a special for the evening -- was a tad too sweet.
service was correct and had a good pace. considering the cavernous space, conversation was not difficult to hear.

then came the terrine de foie gras de canard; simply stated this was the most amazing and versatile liver spread i have encountered. alone on the baguette bread sticks it was excellent, rich, buttery flavours with and extremely smooth texture, yet somehow light like whipped butter. it was even better when we began experimenting with it.

amazing. everything was perfect. the pumpkin cheesecake was absolutely phenomenal. the caramel on top was sweet and rich the pumpkin cheesecake was smooth and delicate upon approach then just after you swallow the cinnamon follows through with a gentle refreshing spice note. the tomato soup with the olive crouton was genius. the flat iron steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. the potato puree silky smooth and delicious. and the service, what an absolute joy just watching the servers serve with such elegance and finesse. i had high expectations coming here and they did not disappoint. thanks

not quite what i hoped for. in vegas for a few days and wanted some good food. bouchon was generally highly rated so we decided to give it a try. it is located on the 10th floor of the venetian. initially it was difficult to find but that is probably because we didn't pay attention. regardless, the interior is a slightly upscale bistro vibe- nothing extremely fancy. i started my dinner with a raspberry cocktail (grand cru) which was quite good. i wanted to try the sofrito clams appetizer but the others i was dining with were not interested so i settled for the onion soup. what a disappointment that was- very salty and run of the mill onion soup. i was excited to try the flatiron steak frites as my entree. the steak was pretty darn good but the fries were nothing more than fries i could get at any random fast food place. i mean really? no truffle oil or anything special to dress them up? that was a disappointment to me as i love good fries. dessert was creme brûlée and it was pretty good. the other diners with me agreed that the onion soup was worth forgetting and the creme brûlée was good. worth noting, one of the other diners had the salmon entree and really enjoyed it- cleaning her plate. our waiter was friendly and attentive. i was glad i tried bouchon but i certainly would not rush back and at this point i wouldn't really recommend it as a place one must try. maybe their brunch is better. dinner entrees average around $30.

great ambiance and food!. we had brunch here and loved it so much we came back for dinner. the room is gorgeous and service is solid. brunch was quite good. waffles were yummy and coffee was strong.

cocktails were really good too. sit at the bar and watch the bartender make an authentic moscow mule served in a copper mug.

maybe i don't come to vegas enough (something i intend to change in the future), but thomas keller's bouchon was one of the hardest restaurants to find during our whole trip! located in the recesses of the venetian, we had to hunt this place down. we decided to visit only one buffet this trip and that was the wicked spoon. we opted for the sake of our stomachs to choose quality over quantity. to be honest, we needed every arrow to guide us towards our destination. and hurray, we found it! good thing too because we were hungry!   there is a daily specials menu featuring some amazing things for our easter brunch, the lobster and crab benedict sounds pretty good, doesn't it? i'm not a fan of omelet but i could make an exception for one filled with prosciutto!    no reservations are allowed for brunch or lunch, only for dinner. friends have warned me about the waits, one has waited up to an hour! thankfully, we arrived early and the wait was "only" 20 minutes. they did have little mini muf

this was one of my favourite breakfasts ever. go to bouchon if you want relaxed dining with a flash of finesse.

the entrees proved to be as excellent as our starters and the service was, in my opinion, the best we had during our trip to sin city.
