don't be fooled, if it's good enough for bill cosby..... based on the one-sheet menu and curt service you might think you'd made a mistake, but once things get going you're in for abrunchtreat.

it seemed like the default answer was instantly "no", but don't be dissuaded, keep prodding about lactose-free options, or whether they can make poached eggs, etc. also, the daily specials make up for the menu.

the service warmed up after the first pass and we found out that bill crosby had in fact eaten there and was down to earth, ordered his own food and was happy to sign a picture that now hangs on the wall.

the food rocks. the brioche with lemon custard and raspberry is delicious. the poached egg benedict with salmon was delicious. their salad and namesake dressing is great and can be bought to go.

would definitely go back. the french toast is supposed to be good. will try that next time....

friends and strangers were constantly telling me lots of lovely things about bonjour brioche. they have a very loyal and avidbrunchfanbase! i was excited to try them out and arrived to a very busy restaurant and a line out the door. although to be fair, i’ve seen them with a longer line so i was happy to be seated within 15 minutes of arriving even if our table was pressed up against the pastry case. mmmm… pastries…

we immediately ordered a chocolate croissant and a chai latte. it’s a sweet and perfect way to start your day. taking advantage of bonjour brioche’s daily special we couldn’t resist selecting the lobster and shrimp crepe- baked and loaded with caramelized onions, lobster and shrimp. and if that isn’t enough they generously cover the whole affair in béchamel sauce.

to finish off our meal, we went back to sweet and picked up a delectable pecan tart with a dollop of whipped cream.

thank you bonjour brioche for filling our bellies with wonderful food! hope tobrunchwith you again soon

i visited bonjour brioche forbrunchwith my friends on a sunday.
it was really busy and it took quite some time to get seated as there aren't many tables and the patisserie is quite small. the smell of fresh onions, eggs and coffee wafts through the air which gets your gastric juices going but take note that the strong aroma can linger on your clothes once you're done with brunch.
the food: (pictures attached) presentation was very good and the serving size was also reasonable. we ordered egg benedict with avocados and salad which had a pleasant and pleasing flavor on the taste buds. however, the quantity of the hollandaise sauce should be increased. we also ordered an omelette which wasn't out of the ordinary. the french toast was pretty good and had a cinnamon like flavor and came with a maple sauce dip on the side. we tried two types of tart - the apricot and lemon which came with a scoop of whipped cream. on the whole the tarts were nice but on the sour side. the fresh orange juice was genuinely fresh and tangy. i felt that by ordering different items on the menu, we were complementing aspects lacking in the other. it would not feel complete to order just one type of item hence you're bound to order more than one item on the menu.
pricing: for four people, we spent around 80$ including tip. which approximates to 17-20$ per person. moreover, they only accept cash, no credit or debit.
service: staff were very courteous and attentive. however, the wait for the food was rather long. considering that customers are spending a slightly higher amount than other places, the manner in which the cheque is given to customers can be made less crude and more polite by giving it in a cheque book or tray instead of plonking it on the table at the end.
on the whole, we enjoyed the food and had a good experience. it was certainly a nice place to have brunchbut maybe not the best.

came forbrunchtoday and of course there was a long line. the weather being quite mild, the patio was open with heaters, thus the line went by quickly. had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, chive, caviour and potato rosti. the only complaint was the potato rosti was dried and cold..that wasn't prepared freshly. i couldn't resist their croissants so i got some chocolate croissants to go! they are the best!

we visited.this place based on the raving reviews of blogto who had this in their top 10.

much like with other overhyped places, we were disappointed. we made the trek out to riverside early to get thebrunchand not wait too long in line. we not only waited for 40 minutes but it was cash only. bring the cash with you unless you want to walk a few blocks to the nearest bank.

the place was rammed, the service was incredibly slow, the tables were very small and tight and worst of all, the food was mediocre.

i had expected above norm since it was well reviewed so when it was 'meh' of course i was disappointed. also, i had hoped for a larger selection of in-house baked goods. i guess i always hope for european standards when it comes to baked goods so when everything is sub-par, over baked and dry...not happy. also, what happened to bakeries that actually bake in-house and do so with pride? i didn't see any of that here and considering the prices, i wished i would've gone elsewhere.

adorable littlebrunchplace! arrived at 2pm and there was a ~15 minute wait. ordered a croque madame and my friend ordered an americano and a mixed green salad. service was a little slow...the croque madame was exactly how i expected it to be - crunchy bread, soft on the inside, perfectly sunny side up egg; a little salt from the ham. it came with a mixed green salad. the salad dressing was delish (it's no wonder they sell bottles of it near the bar). the some of the salad greens were a little wilted but the salad dressing made up for it. overall, a decentbrunchplace with an adorable ambiance (and a patio) but i probably won't be back again!

very busy localbrunchplace, popular with the neighbourhood. croque madame is excellent and the roast beef sandwich too. specials like eggs benny with croissants. the best? the baguettes and flutes, with plenty of butter. downer is the coffee, if you can call it that. completely bland, watered down. expected much better than that!

...decided to have two of the specials: the pumpkin soup, and the quiche. they were both two of the best dishes i’ve had in toronto. i even took a photo of the inside of my quiche to show how fluffy it was. and you can tell a lot about abrunchplace by its salad. this salad was not an after-thought, or a plate filler. it was amazing and complimented the mains perfectly.

we went forbrunchat the east end to leslieville. it was hard to decide what to try. i got the mushroom / arugula / swiss cheese tart. and since their brioche is well known, i got the blueberry brioche (i wanted to try the raspberry lemon one but they were out). the bread was good, but i have a feeling the raspberry one would taste better as there will be more filling, next time?

incredibly delicious brunch!. if you're looking for a great place to grab brunch, look no further: bonjour brioche is absolutely amazing. ever since i passed by this little gem for the first time a few months ago, i've been dying to try it. the smell wafting from the place was amazing! this morning (around 11 or so) i came here forbrunchwith my boyfriend. we were lucky to beat the brunch/lunch rush at 12. (yes. it's true. this is definitely one of the city's worst-kept secrets. arrive early if you want to get seated right away! otherwise, be prepared to wait!) once you walk in, you'll be greeted by some quaint, modest decor and a lovely display of fresh baked goods! there was also a huge cooling rack filled with croissants, baguettes and other goodies.
i ordered one of the quiche du jour (it was a quiche lorraine with ham, cheddar and onions for 9.50), and my bf ordered the croque madame (a hot, brioche sandwich with ham and cheese, topped with an egg! 9.50, i think). we also ordered a pain au chocolat (1.80) to share. the food came out quite quickly (within 10 minutes, i would say) and oh my goodness the food was to die for. the pain au chocolat was unbelievable buttery and the hint of dark chocolate in the middle was a really nice surprise. please try the croissants if you come here. they are fantastic! the quiche was really fluffy, very light, with a lovely golden and flaky crust. the croque madame was quite delicious as well! both dishes came with a beautiful green salad, topped with a fresh-tasting vinaigrette.

prices were reasonable, the service was pretty good (except for a few kinks. they thought we didn't pay for our meal as we were leaving the restaurant...haha, really?!). the food was so amazing and i was so impressed with my visit that i can overlook service issues. lovely place. will definitely return! even if i don't get to sit down, i will go back to have another taste of their croissants!

destination brunch. this is a must stop forbrunchwhen i'm in to, especially in the summer. i have always found the service friendly!
i tend to go for the quiche or special. the crocque madame is wonderful but so much food! the baguettes are perfect and the slab of butter served with it is much appreciated! chocolate croissants to go on the way out.

bad service, disappointing food. went to bonjour brioche for the first time this weekend. the service was terrible. forgetful, slow and unapologetic. when our food finally arrived the eggs were undercooked, the fruit in the fruit salad was not ripe and they forgot our coffee order. go somewhere else if you want a pleasantbrunchexperience!

tight but tasty. that bonjour brioche has the bestbrunchin the city is one of the worst kept secrets. you will wait quite a while for a seat, you will be cramped once seated and you might be too hot but it will all be worth it at first bite. the croissants are just like i remember them in paris, the coffee is richly brewed and i have yet to order something i didn't absolutely love. there is no doubt in my mind that this is the best place in toronto to go forbrunch... as long as you have a little patience.

fresh bread, long line ups. this is a popularbrunchspot in the east end serving up freshly baked baguettes, croissants, quiches of various varieties. they have great almond croissants and roast beef and brie sandwich served on a generously sized baguette for under $10.
