hotelfoodthrough and through, though dining with your feet in the sand is always a mark in the plus column. on both our visits to bongos, our service was terrific, though the uninspired and clunky, junkyfoodneeds a massive infusion of finesse and authenticity. haddock instead of local group features heavily, and both shrimp and fish tacos are weighed down by cheddar cheese. the "cuban" nachos were laden with more cheddar plus white rice (?) and the wings were coated in a thick, saccharine-sweet bbq sauce. this is a site that could stand to raise its culinary game just a hair and it would become king of the beach.
