i will go back but only to use the other half of my groupon. our first visit here was the night of the christmas parade. they wereopenspecial hours for the event. we got there early and waited for them to open. after looking at the menu, i was excited to eat there. this place seemed really unique in their offerings and the menu made the sandwiches sound amazing.
the sandwiches were not amazing. light on the (low quality) meat and light on flavor. the person behind the counter made it obvious she did not want to be there and was overwhelmed. in fairness this seems to be the standard in abilene, unfortunately. also, i waited and waited and waited for our order and no one called. finally i went up to the very overwhelmed counter and asked for our order. apparently our order had been sitting there for a while and no one cared to let us know. the guy wouldn't let me have the bag and asked me if i paid already. of course i paid. you made the order, didn't you?!
as much as i love to support local businesses, i just can't on this one.
