everything was great...except the food. my family and i ate here for the first time recently. many people say this place looks bad but has great food. we had the opposite opinion. we used to live in tampa bay and this restaurant reminded us of seafood places near the beach. it was a hot day and we sat on the patio. it was great; there was a good musician on the stage and you'd never know you were sitting yards away from hwy 29. thewaitstaff was gritty, but great. now the food. first off, they were all out of fresh crab. the waitress said they ran out at 1:00 pm that day. so we ordered stuffed flounder and a large seafood combo meal. nothing was very good. most of the food had that fishy, not fresh, flavor. the crab cakes were mediocre at best. the fried items tasted like dirty frying oil was used. we had a great time but later when we were home discussing our dinner, there wasn't one item that we gave a "thumbs up" to. if you go, only get fresh crab...it they have any.
