everything was great...except the food. my family and i ate here for the first time recently. many people say this place looks bad but has great food. we had the opposite opinion. we used to live in tampa bay and this restaurant reminded us of seafood places near the beach. it was a hot day and we sat on the patio. it was great; there was a good musician on the stage and you'd never know you were sitting yards away from hwy 29. the wait staff was gritty, but great. now the food. first off, they were all out of fresh crab. the waitress said they ran out at 1:00 pm that day. so we ordered stuffed flounder and a large seafood combo meal. nothing was very good. most of the food had that fishy, not fresh, flavor. the crab cakes were mediocre at best. the fried items tasted like dirty frying oil was used. we had a great time but later when we were home discussing our dinner, there wasn't one item that we gave a "thumbs up" to. if you go, only get fresh crab...it they have any.

finally!. as a new englander i haven't found a good seafood place around. i eventually gave up looking. now for about a year, my girlfriend has been saying how good this place is. i finally agreed to try it. it was super busy, yet i was sat down at a table pretty quickly. service was amazing and fast. before i could put my fork down my plate was off the table! and the food! oh my god the food. the lobster was perfect, my steak was perfect, the lobster bisque was as good as it is at home. the atmosphere was inviting and the owner was walking around helping clear tables and talk to the guests. i am just amazed how good this place is. i will be going back.

going here for 15 years. best fried scallops ever. grilled mahi is the best. never had a bad meal. wait staff is friendly and attentive.

yummy!!!!. eating here reminded me of eating seafood at the beach. we had fried shrimp, scallops, oysters, hush puppies, ff, onion rings, clams, and coleslaw. it was hot and tasty. service was ok; she forgot a couple of things, but our food arrived in a timely manner and it tasted great!!!! we don't eat fried food often, so this was definitely a nice treat! the restaurant doesn't look like much and i wouldn't say it is inexpensive, but it is worth every penny.

love this place! delicious & fun!!! order a pitcher of beer, break out the mallets & eat crabs til you bust. if you call they will tell you what size crabs they have & if they're fat. call ahead for takeout on weekends.
