this is a great spot to grab breakfast or even lunch. thefoodis fresh and cooked to order and the pricing is very reasonable. i highly recommend blue moon diner if you're hungry.

drinks and water never refilled. something was in myfoodso my appetite was destroyed. ordered something else. blatantly small portion sizes for the money for myself & friend. really wanted to love this place butfoodwas bland. feel like everyone working there mailed it in. just very disappointing. willing to give it another chance.

this was one of the worst dining experiences i have ever had. we went for sunday brunch.... sat at the counter... took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. we ordered our drinks and food. and then we waited... and waited... and waited. we had plenty of time to listen to one of the waitresses even complain about other customers. after sitting for about 50 minutes... a couple and another single day down next to us and wouldn't you know within 15 minutes... they were eating theirfoodand after an over an hour and we still didnt have food. finally, after an hour and 15 minutes, we get our food. our kids are starving. they both got pancakes, and one of the order of pancakes wasn't even cooked all the way through. we had to be on the road, so after eating as fast as we could, we headed out and left the waiter a 10% tip. i usually tip at least 20% and more if the service is good. this guy filled my coffee twice the whole time we were there.

do you know that that waiter had the nerve to run out after us and yell down the street where we were walking, " thanks for the bad tip!" are you kidding me? thefoodwas lousy and he left us sitting there for over an hour! he should have checked on our ticket long before that to see what the hold up was! if he wanted to be upset at someone, he should have been fussing at the kitchen staff who didnt prepare our food. and i felt generous for giving a 10% tip. my time is valuable and the fact that the guy that came in 50 minutes after me got his food, ate and paid his tab before ourfoodeven came out.... well that was the final blow to determine a decrease in tip. i am sorry, but i believe in earning a tip. and then to run out and yell in the street after us?!?! are you kidding me? this wasnt just one of the worst restaurants i have ever been to. it is the worst. ever.

excellentfoodand really cool and artsy place. lots of little vintage touches. i got a burger and fries and they were both awesome. can't wait to go back.

we were told that what we ordered was not available nearly thirty minutes after we ordered. when then thefoodactually did come it was burnt and generally poorly prepared.

we loved it!. we finally made it to the blue moon for breakfast- and we all loved it. service was slow butfoodwas worth the wait!

small, quaint, tasty and colorful. after spending the 4th of july touring thomas jefferson's nearby home, monticello we decided to grab dinner down in charlottesville along their main street outdoor mall. after strolling the streets on a sunday evening blue moon was our best option of those places open and serving...and it ended up being a terrific choice. we chose to sit outside that evening and enjoy the outdoor dining. thefoodwas well crafted and presented with care for details, a sentiment that matched the outdoor ambiance. sadly, due to their small kitchen and the late hour i was unable to try the jambalaya but instead was still delighted with my grilled sandwich. well recommended.

good bacon, bad service. i'm ashamed to admit it, but i've eaten here over and over again for years. i am about to give up.

thefoodis generally pretty good - tasty burgers, yummy breakfast entrees - and the ambiance is nice as well - dineresque with a distinctly kitschy feel. the service, however, borders on criminal. the wait staff all seem to be friends of the owner or the owners themselves - regardless of how they got there, they need a lesson or two on customer service. the servers are consistently rude, forgetful, and generally more concerned with chatting with the few regulars at the bar than actually paying attention to their tables. during my last visit, the server went around the table to take drink orders and walked away without even asking everyone at the table. after a 15 minute wait to order and a 45 minute wait for food, we enjoyed a tasty meal but our high hopes were again dashed against the rocks by a unhelpful server and slow kitchen.
