the mint of mansfield. this is the closest thai (real thai owned/operated) to us being south of ftw. that being said, we think that this could be more authentic thai, but a lot of us here(usa), prefer less spice, and they alter great recipes to accommodate the general area of demand. "no spice please", "medium spice", etc. some dishes of course are not spicy at all, like pad thai.
if you ask for thai style or thai hot, you still get a non-traditional mix of spices, i.e. jalopenos vs. red thai chilli peppers, etc. we still love this place, and the food, is like i said, the best found this side of the dfw. i think they try and appeal to the demand, so i may differ on the thai like vs. dislikes. we have been to thailand many times. the place is great prices, family owned & run, including kitchen. often you will find family gathering and eating together there, which is nice. they are a very friendly family! the love from the family is noticed in the foods. all curries are great, any meat is good to with them. tofu, chickenor shrimp-we like all. the crazy noodles w/tofu is my favorite thai hot! they have specials, and do to-go orders! support them, and request traditional thai style, if you do like spicy and want authentic. demand w/o substitute of local cheap items vs. freshness of thailand.
