blue dolphin seafood bar and grill

great seafood. beautiful restaurant great food, service was ok, could have been better but could have been worse at the same time...

poor service on mothers day. on may 10 (mothers day) i took my daughter and grand-daughter to blue dolphin (instead of going somewhere else) a week befor this day i made a reservation for 6pm (i arrived 5:30pm) and announced myself to the hostess...she gave me the little ringer thing (#19) and we sat and waited and waited (we saw people that arrived after us get seated) so at 6:15pm i went to the hostess and asked "why we were not seated i made a reservation) she stated "i thought you left (why would i do that and i had not ate all day (6pm reservation)...my ringer never--never rung...the hostess said "i rung yu but you didn't come up...i told her my ringer did not ring.....so i asked for the manager...he says i can give you deserts...i told him i do not want deserts can you make an adjustment in my check...he says okay....then here comes the waitress from hell.........she gave poor service...simple that's it poor service...she acted as if i was bothering her to place my order..........so when she finally came she bought the check which totalled $55.82 i asked where is my adjustment...it was only an adjustment for $8.95....so the manager came over....and told me "we checked the ringer nothing was wrong with it.........so i asked are you suggesting that i lied about it........(he gave me an obnoxious look) and said thank you for choosing blue dolphin today..............i will never ever go back to blue dolphin and i want my money back.................

not anymore. walked out of here 3 times from not getting served. service is usually unbearable. food is hit or miss.

this place is awesome and is right near me! they have 12.99 dinner specials nightly and half process apps daily.

the service was good . the food was just not. calamari was too chewy. the crab cakes and the spinach were not seasoned well and the garlic potatoes were not edible. it was powder mash potatoes with too much minced garlic. we were a party of 5 and the only thing anyone liked for $200 was the muscles. with a name like blue dolphin seafood in maryland coming all the way from georgia i expected better.

not a great first impression. the dining experience did not live up to the hype. the food was not that great and the service/server was even worst. they are overpriced. will not be going back.

unacceptable!. this restaurant has been rated highly by many. however, part of a dining experience is certainly enhanced or diminished by the service one receives. sadly, in this restaurant where the majority of the clientele are "african american", a few of the caucasian servers feel free to use defamatory and racist terms. one several occasions they have been overheard saying - "i hate ni**ers!!!. and "i wish they would go just back to africa!!

how "brazen" one must be to use this kind of offensive and hateful language without any concern of repercussions or consequences.

please do not support businesses that disrespect you - no matter how "good" the food is. speak directly to this issue with your wallets!

great restaurant!. i just came back from my first visit to the blue dolphin, and i would definitely go back again! the food was delicious, the portions generous, and the service was wonderful. chris, our waiter, was very attentive without hovering. i felt that his service was just right, including bringing us fresh glasses of iced tea/soda without us having to ask, and before our original glasses were empty.

i only had a hamburger and fries, but it was generous and nicely done. we ordered some onion rings as an appetizer, and i couldn't believe the size of them. there were probably only 9 or 10 rings, but they were huge! each one probably equalled 3 regular onion rings, and they were pretty tasty. my friend ordered the crabcake sandwich, and that crabcake was also huge! and they aren't kidding when they say "jumbo lump" crabmeat! my friend said it was very good - she had been to the blue dolphin once before, and went for the crabcakes then, too.

anyway, five stars! try it! food, portions, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful!

oh, and btw - it is not "cash only," as it says. maybe it was at one time, but they take cards now...

warning...this place is awful! me and my family are new to the area and had heard about the blue dolphin as having the best cream of crab soup so we decided to try this restaurant. seafood is my favorite type of food and i must say that i was impressed with the crab soup. however, everything else was just aweful, including the service. my husband's chicken was more like jerky and the waitress wasn't kind enough to tell us that the greek salad my 12 year old daughter ordered was a huge salad that could have fed the whole table--she should have explained and suggested a smaller salad. the stuffed lobster was a large portion of breeding with small amounts of crab and tasteless. the soft shell crabs we're also tasteless. the place looks very nice when you come in but it is just a facade! the food is exteemly overpriced and service is horrible. i wouldn't go back even for the crab soup!

i've visited the establishment on several different occasions and this time was the worst!!! the food was rushed (done on the outside only), the waitress was rushing is to order (i guess she was ready to end her shift), the group that was there was very loud and the restroom was horrible!!!ii was there trying to celebrate my 12 year anniversary the only thing i enjoyed besides my husband was my drink!!! next time i'll just stick with jerry's seafood.

the crab cakes are the best ever my favourite spot.ps.everything is good.

best crab cakes i've had in a long time. they were huge (about the diameter of a softball) and hardly had any breading, mostly crab meat. most people in my dinner party could only finish one. if you go and order the crab cakes order the double platter it's a better value and you get to enjoy a delicious crab cake the next day :)

terrible!!. we booked what i thought was a private birthday party for 25 people at the blue dolphin..when we got to the site there was another party as well as mine...when we got a food nothing came out right it took 3 and a half hours to get a dinner when we asked what was going on they will tell us that our food was coming out of another kitchen while the other party next to us was being served without a problem...the food was just awful and when we talked to bryan the manager all he did was to tell me that they just had 250 people the night before and that they did just fine..before you book anything with this establishment i hope you read this and never do anything with this people...and if you do anything watch your bill because they will charge for things that you didn't even purchase as well......
